Shelly - SSH Client

Most SSH apps that you find in the store come with bloat, this one does not!
This app has also received updates over many years, so you can rely on it long term. The premium features are a one time purchase and affordable.

Does not work towards simple ssh nas connection. Checked with putty works, but Shelly not.

Can we get an ip fallback option? Examples you give 2 ip’s for a device when it fails the first one it will try the second one. Nice when being on local network with said device or when travelling while using tailscale which has a different ip.

I use this client for quick checks on some of my (Linux) servers. It took some time to get used to the on screen keyboard: but it works fine for me.

I have been using this app for a little bit now and as far as I can see it looks amazing. I am able to use the ssh tunnel I have created for my server surprisingly well and fast. Thanks to this app I can always reach my server even when I do not have a pc or laptop at my location. Definitely recommend using Shelly. And if you can miss 3.99 then definitely spend it on this man’s hard work❤️

Yes this app is free, but if you use it more than once a week you’ll find yourself giving in and spending a good coffee for this man's hard work.
I didn’t notice any real battery impact on keeping connections open in the background, although I only have mine set to 30 minutes. There is only one thing that this is missing for me and that is a second row of short-keys, too many time I have to switch layouts for the: - ~ $ * / _ | symbols. If that could be added (as an option) that would be awesome

Works exactly as you’d expect. By default it doesn’t remember your passwords, which I think is a good thing. It is possible to add multiple connections, even in the free version. TUI programs, like Vim and tmux work fine.
The keyboard is limited compared to Termius, a competing ssh client. There’s no way to type the ‘alt’ key, as far as I can tell, although there are dedicated buttons for esc, ctrl, period and dash, which is nice.
There’s no support for copying files over ssh, and no support for ssh tunneling.
Overall, this app does its job well and I would recommend it.

Use it to access my router via SSH. Had it fully working with private key support in minutes. Non obtrusive during the sessions. Absolutely worth it.

I’m developing webpages. So when I edit a page via ssh and switch to the browser to test, shelly closes the connection.
Not very useful this way. Please make it so it keeps it’s connection open. Thanks.

I miss the port tunnel option, and an edit/cancel/ save option function. Now when you do something is saved on the fly

The feature I was missing (since VSSH stopped) is now implemented in Shelly. Now I can manage all my Linux servers using this app. Great work!

Great SSH client based on PuTTY. Sadly, PuTTY doesn’t support mosh, so neither does Shelly..
5th star saved for when iCloud sync of connections across devices is available

I’m a bit sceptical when it comes to running a shell or putty session on a tablet. However, a bit to my surprise, I keep using this app. So they clearly did something right!

Please fix the security issue what face ID. Using that option crashes the app.

Please make a setting that disables the screen from fading and locking, just like when whatching videos.

The reason i chose shelly is for its ability to work with ssh keys. That works fine. The trick for producing arrow keys looks smart but is totally useless since the speed of the 'key repeat' is far too high and cannot be controlled. That makes this tool without an external bt keyboard somewhat limited.

Lijkt z'n werk goed te doen. Beetje basic, maar ondersteunt in principe alles dat je nodig hebt tegen een redelijke prijs. :)
