Pythonista 3

Was happy when started using this with bluetooth ble connection until i found out that that the characteristic write option does not work properly. Apparently it did work in a previous release and was already fixed in a 3.5 beta beginning this year but was never released. Curious when this gets solved as i really like the app.

Pythonista is great, I've used it for years. Make sure you install Stash to get the most out of it (e.g. access to pip). Some modules won't work, usually ones that have C binary dependencies, but there's a lot you can do with it!

Bought this app yesterday and love the potential but unfortunately it crashes instantly on startup, both on my iPhone and iPad. I’m using an iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air 1 both running iOS 12.5.7. Hopefully this can be fixed soon. For now I would not recommend this app as in the current state, it’s useless and I’m out €9,99. Happy to edit my review if this is fixed.

I have spent many hours with this, excellent for smaller (and maybe even bigger) projects wherever you are.

Help me a lot on my stupid iPhone.
The only app out there for a unrooted phone to perform high level scpripting. Bit like vsstudio Bur smaller scale.
You even can run a Python terminal wich helped me Make a complete website with Django and was able to run it throughout my llocal host!

Love the app but would you please consider updating Python, version 3.6 has reached end of life it would be lovely when we could work with version 3.10.

This app is great and has potential not matched by any other app in the App Store. I bought this to do some app prototyping on my iPad. It could have been an amazing match with my iPad Pro Magic Keyboard, preserving a lot of screen space for actual code.
However, whenever I use the app with my MK it really has a terrible scrolling bug that scrolls the actual line over the top of the screen, making it invisible. This is unworkable for any programmer so I cannot use the app as I hoped to. I really hope this will be fixed in the future but since the last update was roughly a year ago I have my doubts.

Can’t even read files, and updates don’t happen. Its not really like python…

I am using Pythonista now for a couple of days, to be able to code ‘everywhere’ in my favourite Python. Since I am currently learning Datascience I would like access to Pandas..

Goed doordachte IDE met veel beschikbare libraries. Zeer actieve en vriendelijke community met een eigen forum.
Geschikt om games mee te maken maar ook voor het serieuze werk een aanrader. Biedt ook een grafische debugger!

I tried to load the module tkinter in Pythonista on my iPad. However a message appeared that it could not be loaded.
Wikipedia saids: Tkinter is included with standard Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X installs of Python. Why not in Pythonista for iOS?

You can see and smell the amount of work put in Pythonista, really sophisticated work of art. Like it!

Realy a great app to work with. It is fast and incredible handy for quick analasis on the road. The only downside is the fact that the app doesn’t work with pandas. I hope that this will be possible in the future.

This is a truly brilliant piece of software! The level detail is amazing, with everything very well designed and implemented. A great joy to use.

Pythonista enables everything from the quick experiment to sophisticated pipeline using the “open in” iOS interaction. Love it.

Firstly, I almost never write a review, unless I really feel the need to. For Pythonista I will make an exception.
The tool is fast, fully functional and easy to work with. I have been looking for a complete Python 3 development environment for my iPad ever since I bought mine. The first thing I tried was to do a series of API calls over the network using a local text file and I was convinced I would run into several problems. But it just works...well!
I would like to see an easier way to put text files in a directory with .py files for interaction. Now I had to email the textfile to myself, create a new file in Pythonista and save it. But if this never changes, I’ll still be happy!
