Photomator – Photo Editor

Can’t get a trial without also agreeing to an automatic paid renewal. So if you forget to cancel you’re stuck with paying. Not how trials should work. Do better.

Als je een foto opent maakt Photomator m direct wat donkerder waarna je later een extra groot resultaat ziet via de knop ML. Niet bij elke maar af en toe zoveel dat het opvalt, vooral bij donkere oppervlakken zoals een zwarte jas. Het resultaat is vaak ongewenst, alsof de zon lekker scheen terwijl het helemaal niet zo zonnig was. Leuk als je jezelf en anderen voor de gek wilt houden. Het beeld uit mijn camera is realistischer en ik prefereer de werkelijkheid en geen verfraaid beeld, kijk eens wat een heerlijk weer we hadden…..

Binnen de proeftijd het abonnement, 1 dag, maar betaal voor een heel jaar? Gewoon diefstal….dus let op bij het activeren van een abonnement.

For the price that it is currently available it’s a must have for any photo editor that is looking into other software other than LR Classic. It’s missing core features atm, but what is here is solid and fast to work with. I am looking forward what Photomator has in store for the future.

It crashed on iPad Pro 10.5 with iPadOS 17.6.1. When I start to edit regular photo from iPhone 14Pro and just do couple changes for exposition or brightness it crashes but not app only but turns off the iPad in general.

Het is een fijne app om foto’s te verbeteren. Maar ik kwam er achter dat bewerkte foto’s in de iCloud opgeslagen werden. Meer dan 100gB op een totaal van 200 gB is toch substantieel. Gelukkig kon ik de catch leegmaken.

This all looks like the real thing for Mac, which is why I bought it. The big letdown is that there is no extension for Photos on the Mac, whereas there is one for Pixelmator. That makes lots of superfluous actions necessary...

This app goes further where the standard Photos app stops. A must have for iOS users!

It should clearly be mentioned in description that you can’t do anything without subscription. Even for exploring features you need to sign up for trial. Waste of time.

I would have expected a discount if you have Photomator for iPhone or iPad. Or when you own Pixelmator Pro.

What an incredible update. Really fantastic for editing photo’s, now includes really intuitive working with layers, to achieve local modifications. Smart selections of objects, background, sky, selective brushes, lineair and radial gradient. Already it had it’s clarity and texture improvements, not only general but also separately for shadows, midtones, and highlights.
The only downside so far is the healing function which appears to be less sophisticated then before the update, but I am convinced it will be improved.

Couple of versions earlier i could edit large batches quick and easy with the workflow thingy, but if i try it now above 10 Photos it just crashes… Takes me so much more time to edit big quantities of photos :(

Erg fijne app met veel mogelijkheden. Nu nog de toevoeging van de haze-filter, dan zou het helemaal kompleet maken.

i bought the pro version of the iOS version, picture loads, but a minimum of functions are a affable , not a real pro version at all. hope the mac version is beter.

Deze app is precies wat ik zocht! Raw support, direct importeren vanuit m’n camera, veel bewerk opties & filters. Ook kan je lagere kwaliteit foto’s terugbrengen naar de originele scherpe beelden met maar 1 druk op een knop. (Dit laatste werkt fenomenaal!) Kort samengevat: Een fijne workflow voor foto’s bewerken op iPad!

Works nicely, no bugs, one time fee is cool as well. Editing is limited to adjusting a couple of dials though, and the AI features are not -that- great either.

It works perfectly with the Canon CR3 files coming from my EOS R. I like that it works directly via the Photo’s app, so the Photo’s app always presents my editted files via Pixelmator Photo. In Lightroom I’m used to maintain my photo’s over two different apps.
Giving this 5 stars if local adjustments are added. I want to brush in certain adjustments with my Apple Pencil. If that’s added I see no reason to ever use other apps for my RAW editting.
