IMDb: Movies & TV Shows

Only thing that prevents me from dumping letterboxd over imdb is that I cant see, set and modify the date I watched a certain movie irrespective of when I add a movie to list or tick "watched". (Which I also cant see by the way, only sort?)

It crashes on iPhone 8 … ridiculous

Ik gebruik de IMDb app dagelijks. Maar sinds gisteren september 19, kan ik de app niet meer gebruiken omdat ik een iPhone 8 heb. Ik kan deze niet updaten naar iOS 17.
Wat kan ik nu nog doen? De iPhone werkt nog steeds heel goed….

Een Nederlandse versie zou fijn zijn. Ik heb een iPhone 8. Maar ik kan vanaf vandaag niet meer inloggen op de IMDb site app.

I’ve been fan of IMDB since I was a kid. My father and I always were looking on IMDB and we Loved it. but now? It’s not an app for the movie enjoyers anymore. I cant get a fair movie suggestion or rating anymore. Keep this running in a for the community by the community concept. With a few very strict critics who rate the movie definitively. But there should be no marketing behind an app like this. Let us pay for an ad free app. And let us pay for pro features. This was the last site where people and movie lovers were allowed to discuss on whats out there to watch. You guys were pure critics. A movie Rated a 6.9 on IMDb. Meant it was a good movie because you were strict. Now to biggest flops are getting an 7.5’s or an 8 and higher. An IMDB rating lost if’s value with as reason commerce. And that is truly sad. The IMDB that once was is lost. But not unfixable. So do it for us. Not amazons money
And you guys are aware because read the one star comments. I am not the only one. Please give us a reaction on what choice you’ve made so we can decide to leave imdb for good or at-least understand it

If only it would be possible to rate movies by half points, not just whole points. There are a lot of movies I would have given a 6,5 for example.

Based on my own experience; If you happen to leave a bad review of a show on Prime Amazone will unapologetically delete your review. Amazone owns IMDB and this trusted platform is its new toy.
I find normalizing the practice of this conflict of interest very unsettling and the fact that nothing can be done about is just dystopian. So you own a streaming platform buy the most popular reviewing platform and you just manipulate reviews unapologetically?

No news updates anymore. I only see ‘news’ of three days or longer ago.
Also it would we handy to put the news more at the top.

Na eerste gebruik direct weer verwijderd.
Maak wel gebruik van website, die werkt voor mij wel

Nice app to keep track of seen movies.
Please add feature to find reviews that I found helpful. I like to read reviews of movies I have seen, and mark reviews that reflect my opinion. That way I know better what my opinion was at a later stage, without having to write a review myself.

I use IMDb for streaming the best movies and series for already 6 years
I,m steaming for free with the webside" Stremio " on my laptop
I already watched a couple of 1000 movies and a couple of 68 series

It would be great to be able to give movies half ratings.
For instance, if you can’t choose between a 7 or an 8 you can rate the movie a 7.5

I tried to install the latest version of this great app.. and to my unpleasant surprise noticing that it suddenly only showed Chinese characters.
I have not been able to change this back to English.
Help!

Please make it possible to rate a film a 7.5 for example so that you don’t have to choose between an 8 or a 7 but you cankeep it in the middle.

Why can i not rate and review “Einstein and the Bomb”?
Is this censure? Can or may we not be critical on substantial “history”?
Because i saw some “victor written history” which isn’t true. But as i wanted to rate the film-docu, i just wanted to rate it. Nothing more.
But it was impossible.
