VLC media player

The desktop version is perfect. The iPad version hides the controls, and very quickly too. This makes playing, pausing, etc., incredibly difficult. A setting to lock the controls would be a godsend. There is also a delay in playing the sound; the video starts playing before the sound

Goede speler en ik gebruik hem al jaren maar voor het eerst via de Chromecast en dan krijg ik een melding dat ondertitels nog niet werken bij casten.
Nou daar heb ik dus niks aan

Has been years now. Subtitels aren’t working while streaming to chromecast. Fix this.

* iPhone 12
* iOS 26.5
* VLC 3.7.3 (475)
* Local Files always opens On My iPhone instead of reopening iCloud Drive/Downloads.
* Reinstalling VLC and resetting settings do not fix the issue.

I love that it lets me save music directly to my phone instead of it having to be downloaded on iCloud. It was also easy to access and download music files shared on our local network (diskstation). Also easy to move files from iCloud, as it can be done through the files app

Many functionalities, works well. Performance can be better (when switching between apps the image gets stuck and i have to close/open again).
But great to have so many functionalities behind a free app. Especially the network stuff. I have donated and plan to donate more.
Thanks

Ook handig op iPhone 4 en iPodtoich6 ik kon naders niet zo makkelijk muziek er op krijgen ook handig om internetradio te luisteren

The updated 3.7.2 version by Apple fixed the crash bug!
Original text:
With version 3.7.2 the app won't open (crashes) on iOS 12.5.8. Reinstall doesn't work. Hopefully it is fixed in the next update.

Updated to latest version and opening the app forces my phone to crash and reboot. Can no longer open the app. iOS 12.5.7

Thanx for fixing the problems with the previous update, everything works great again!

Finally found a way to transfer videos to and from my laptop and my iPhone. And quickly too. So grateful that it’s free and no ads.

For years and years now it gives a short stutter in audio when turning phone screen off or on. Had this on multiple iPhones and multiple iOS versions.
The GUI does not look very well in the new apple liquid glass style (i mean in particular the floating panels).

I AirDrop any movies or TV series that I wanna watch onto my telephone for a long trips. Advantage of this media player is that place all video types. And of course it’s open source, and free, so nobody’s taking any of my data.

It always asks to reinput password when browsing any folder and I have resetted the app. Password is correct it’s this app that can’t do its main function

This must be the most unstable, buggy and unusable app in the App Store. And it’s not improving in any way after all these years. Crashes, error messages, unusable transposing and speed changes. What a joke.

I loved VLC for years but it just doesn’t cut it anymore on mobile platforms. Just switched to iOS because of all the annoyances elsewhere but unfortunately the audio quality is extremely bad over here.

After the last update the player on Apple TV doesn’t show title’s of the media, no subtitles available online and doesn’t use the local stored subtitles on NAS where the desktop version of VLC is working perfectly. The audio is also buggy with sometimes loud cracking sound put out the receiver. If you put the media on pause, most of the time the app crashes. Please fix.

İts not a media player but a network media streamer or player. Change name please.
