easy to use, however where do i find the expiry date aftersards? do i have to remember this?

After I did a mandatory update on the app it lost all of my ETA information that I put in last year. It’s supposed to be valid for two years. I guess I’ll have to apply and pay again this app and this process are hot garbage

Used an iPhone 16, latest iOS, everything worked amazingly and smoothly. Got the application approved very quickly.

Wat een waardeloze app van de britse overheid, werkt totaal niet, de security code wordt niet eens verstuurd dus kun je niet verder. Ook online aanvragen functioneert niet, zelfde verhaal eigenlijk… Prutswerk dus.

The nfc fails really easily, even without cover, then after a couple of retries it locks you out for an hour.

The app is not very intuitive. Wish UK would be part of Europe Schengen again. Seems that app is only designed to generate income for the uk government

Good that you can request an ETA with this app. In my case, reading the passport chip didn’t work smoothly. I had to try about 15 times before it finally worked and only by resting my iPhone on the passport. Hopefully, this reading feature can be improved or made optional in the app.
Not included in the app’s rating: if a country charges €20 just to let people enter, then they should also make more of an effort to stand out among all those shady agencies that have the nerve to charge more than €100 or even €150.

Paar maanden geleden kostte het 10 euro. Na de verplichte update ineens 20 euro! Niet leuk.

The process was pretty straightforward, but the app kept recommending that retake the photo of myself even though it met the requirements: white background, even lighting etc. This function needs improvement. Eventually, I hit ‘Use this photo’ even though the algorithm didn’t like the image, and my application was swiftly approved.

Had to take a picture of myself with a plain and white background, without objects, without shadow, without glimmering. I don’t have a single location in my house where I can take such a picture. That’s why I go to a photo studio to have them take my pass photos. Cannot use these with this app. Another delay. Jolly.

I followed all steps closely and then it worked without any issues (eg ensure there is no shadow when taking the picture).

Werkte goed en snel. In 5 min alles geupload via de app. ETA direct ontvangen via de mail.

I tried multiple times to make an effort registering however the site throws me an error message saying that the website is too busy.

Would love for this app to have an overview of your applications and how long they’ll be available for? Maybe per device, if they need to apply multiple times of the same device.

Erg vervelend dat je überhaupt een ETA moet aanvragen. En als de app dan niet werkt én de website niet, dan gaat de reis maar niet naar Engeland.

Was benieuwd na alle recensies te hebben gelezen of het makkelijk zou werken. Leg alles even klaar voor je begint (paspoort, emailtoegang, creditcard, zorg voor een witte achtergrond voor de foto die je van jezelf moet maken, doe nog even je pruik op en flos nog even je tanden) en het gaat als een speer. Ik had de approval al binnen 2 uur, terwijl de app aangaf dat het best druk is en het even kan duren. Wel BALEN dat de prijs in 1 week 60% is gestegen! Van 10 naar 16 pond.
