Overall, I’m very happy with Skritter. I’ve been using it for about a year and a half, and my character recognition and writing has gotten much better over that period of time.
In terms of improvements, I do wish I could look up a specific word and learn it/add cards rather than find it in a predetermined set. This would be especially useful for words I find out in the wild. Also, I would like to see the example sentences in the cards, not just in learning mode.
Even without those features, I have learned significantly more characters with this app, and my overall reading comprehension has improved greatly. If you have the money, I would recommend it.
