PureVPN - Snel en Veilig VPN

Als een land kies via VPN zit ik toch weer in een ander land, zeer vernevelend kan dan ook niet betalen in dat land.

Werkt voor geen meter, iedere app die ik wil gebruiken herkend dat ik vpn gebruik, of ziet mijn echte locatie als de huidige locatie…

The app barely works at this point. My subscription expired and I was never able to renew it. First, the app kept crashing at any attempt. Then it took my money, but didn’t renew the subscription, instead told me to contact support via chat, which doesn’t load. Really a shame since it wasn’t so bad in the past and I had zero issues at the beginning.

Na eindeloos heen en weer mailen lukt het niet de Nine - AU verbinding werkend te krijgen, we hebben alles geprobeerd, ik kreeg dezelfde tips meerdere malen, het lijkt wel of je met een AI mailt. Een andere duurdere concurrent VPN die ik eerder had, had een server in Melbourne dat werkte prima, maar Pure heeft alleen Nine-AU, of Perth of Sidney. En dus alle andere dingen die we probeerden werken niet dus toch geen goedkope VPN dit omdat ie niet werkt voor het kijken van The Block Australië. Ze zeggen dat ik de Nine now app dan maar moet downloaden, die app die niet beschikbaar is in mijn regio. Waarom zou ik anders een VPN hebben? En ze geven dezelfde tip gewoon later nog een keer. Aan zulke tips heb je dus niks.
Ze blijven wel vriendelijk bij mijn irritatie. Maar komt dus als AI over.
Maar geld terug doen ze ook niet want het werkt aan hun kant wel.
Gelukkig kijk ik ook nog naar andere dingen in Engeland met de VPN.

Wilde graag F1 kijken in Thailand, dit zou met deze app kunnen. Wat ik ook probeer, het lukt niet. Niet met Viaplay, F1 TV of servus tv

Sometimes the Netherlands (Amsterdam) is slow so Dutch online TV s not streaming well.
But most of the time it is working ok.

literally spent half hour to get support to set it up manually on the phone, waiting for each reply for 10mins. And it still doesn’t work. asking for refund immediately. can you refund my time?

Overall works fine but in the last few weeks the BBC Iplayer connection is given to little bandwidth to be able to watch it.

Heel irritant steeds maar weer vragen om een waardering. Nu heb je er één. Verder doet die wat die moet doen ook al werken bepaalde sites niet met deze vpn.

Many sites don’t load. Services don’t work with it and in general it’s just not that great a VPN solution.
Then again, the prices is very low so you also shouldn’t complain. 3 starts is for quality on its own. 5 stars price value cause it’s extremely cheap.

When I activate vpn, it blocks WiFi and slow down my 4G connections. Please update !
It gives a errror and its not possible to connect to WiFi again until I remove the vpn connection. Also the 4G connection stay very very very slow until the vpn is removed.

I've tried and paid for a number of vpns over the years. None were great. Purevpn is no exception unfortunately. The main problem is that it drops often and without warning. Due to the stupid notch in the iPhone this it is not visible that this happened. But the app doesn't warn about it either. So as a result I still cannot use my phone without being tracked by ip address. ( The rest is dealt with by cookie killers, private mode etc.) As a side remark the quick connect doesn't connect to the vpn exit of the county where you are but your home county which is not what I want or expect.
Update September 2020. Cannot login after all update.
Update after developer feedback:still can't login.

Since the last update the app is unable to connect to any server on the iPhone application, regardless of which country I’m in. Keeps popping up messages saying “The VPN server did not respond” and try again in 5 seconds. Hope it gets fixed soon.

It’s not work every time, maybe is from network connection. We’ll update if something changes.

The only thing that actually works well, is Ookla Speedtest, which I guess is what the whole thing is optimized towards, as people use that to assess/review a VPN service like this.
Any further ‘normal’ usage of this VPN service is excruciatingly slow with many intermittent breaks.
All documentation / help pages to resolve issues are often outdated and no longer maintained or non applicable.

It is a very lightweight app, doesn’t support all the fancy security features one can expect from a modern VPN. The VPN sometimes disconnects without a warning, so you have no idea how long you’ve been on the internet without the VPN. A kill switch option would be nice.
The iPad version is basically the iPhone version but stretched.
Some streaming instances won’t work, as it will know you are behind a VPN and thus you are blocked. My general experience is that most streaming services I planned to watch won’t work with this VPN.
However, speeds are decent and you have a quick and easy connection setup in no time. I initially got this VPN to enjoy some streaming services while being abroad, In the beginning this was a blast, but recently (last 6 months) this sadly stopped working.

Can’t switch locations! I’ve paid for €5 for nothing! I buy this plan cause I wanna switch the locations!
