Polycam 3D-scan & plattegrond

To start: i generally don’t like companies with strategies to make you pay before you even got a descent time to try. People need time to experiment, to explore freely without directly having to subscribe for a year. 1 week try is only available in case you directly subscribe for the 180 euro a year subscription, that strategy is very customer unfriendly. Now, i’ve been playing with this app a couple of hourse with iPhone 17pro and come to the conclusion, the lidar is good but the software stitching is lacking. Ive worked with matter port 3d scanner as wel as creality and those are way better for accuracy. This might be nice for property selling, but even then i still see a lot of errors in the 3d files generated. In this condition i would not want to pay 180 a year and rather go for a (second hand )non-subscription based 3d scanner with higher accuracy.

Op internet ziet het mooi uit, maar het is zeer slecht. Ik heb 34 euro door de wc gespoeld. Ik heb wel 120 foto’s gemaakt van een object, maar het resultaat was waardeloos.

Keeps receiving errors that the export won’t work but won’t explain why. Support suggest using a lower resolution. Im paying for this service why should i have to doengrade my model? Either limit it during the scan or just mention it somewhere on your website / app as an limitation

Expensive subscription joke if you want to export to pro version formats… very pity. Not very suitable for the people who want to work for free. Maybe we have to demand Polycam to give everyone a free pro subscription because we send our free data in Polycam for AI and research. I think it is very fair :P

The latest update removed the ability to add or remove the gps location data. The switch is by default now on "on" but no data present.

Realy nice software that works for scanning object that you can also use to 3D print

Finally an app that allows you to use it without pro subscription. Other similar apps scream at you for buying pro. This app just lets you scan in peace.

Have used Polycam with dslr shots and had amazing results also works great on my iPhone 11 pro

Im using it to scan objects or parts of our apartment and then use it to 3d model perfectly fitting 3d printed fixtures.

I’m so sorry but it’s a really wrong app to subscribe it have many bugs and it’s not the best result for lidar scans ! Do not subscribe there are more apps for cheap and better quality results.

Really disappointed in the results. Even with an iPhone 16 pro mounted on an insta flow 2pro, in bright sunlight, it isn’t able to register rough stones and concrete slab.

Wow installed it but first screen: pay us over 26,- a month! Seriously? That is pure greed! Shocking!

I’ve used this app for numerous things. Capturing objects for immersive 3d experiences and home viewing. I love it!

The floorplan option that’s supposed to be there, is not there. App is useless for me.

It seems that an enterprise license is needed for editing floorplans. Looks like it’s not possible in pro. Strange as the pro version is also quite expensive and scans are not perfect firsthand. Apparently other 3d software is needed for editing. That is not a recommendation.

The 1 week ‘free’ trail requires you to sign up for €135,-.
Somehow this app will get more expensive than buying a hardware dedicated 3D scanner.

Geen duidelijke ondersteuning bij problemen in app. Loopt vast bij grotere scans…

Only the yearly paid version have a free trial,
Now I paid 27 euros to try it out, and didn’t even work for me. Wast of money
Very unhappy, to be introduced into a new app this way.
