The last update of the app is really bad, can’t browse folders. Please bring the old controls back! This is really really bad

This used to be great.
I used this to access my TV shows, photos and music on the go. Not only do I have to use three different apps for that now, but on the main Plex app the interface is completely butchered.
You cant determine what is on your homescreen anymore, so its bloated with stuff nobody is ever gonna use and navigating my own library has become a nightmare. That, plus the app freezes constantly. Please bring the old one back. There was nothing wrong with it.

Thanks for completely breaking deep links with the new React Native iOS app. AVOID UPDATING AT ALL COSTS!

I can not believe how you can destroy you own product like this. After last years switch of UI/UX I had still hope the improvements would come later, NOT! Now they remove the DVR completly! I can not watch my local channels anymore provided by HDHomerun in my network. They force you to watch their useless channels. Can not record, can not watch in app. Bit scary to update my Synology install of Plex. Is all my DVR stuff removed? Very bad marketing by Plex.

The app is great but whenever I’m watching videos I store on my NAS and move away (app switching) iOS 26 freezes. Sometimes more than 30 seconds of being frozen, after I which I end up on the lock screen. This has been an issue for a long time now and my concern is that they aren’t addressing this core issue.

Web player works, but iOS app is terrible, unusable. The video restarts every 5 seconds to the beginning. You cannot watch content.

Love to use the app to know wich series im on and when there are new seasons and where incsn watch them so happy i found this app i definitely recommend it! Only the suggestions pages could be better but beside that its a great app to track your movies and series

Update many months later: almost none of the issues have been fixed. It's still terrible compared to the previous version. Time to switch to Jellyfin.
The previous app was great. But the new version is full of problems. A selection:
- The maximum transcoding quality is way lower than the server and my iPad supports.
- The previews when skipping through a video are incorrect. When you hold still at a specific point it shows a preview of where the player currently is instead of where you hold your finger. This makes it extremely difficult to find a specific spot.
- Some video files that worked previously can't be played anymore unless I transcode them to lower quality.
- Some video files can only be played from the beginning. So you can't play from where you left off.
- Sometimes subtitles are not shown. (Changing screen orientation can make them appear again.)
- The new interface is very unintuitive. After two months of use I still find it difficult to find things.
- There are no previews anymore when skipping in Chromecast mode. This makes it virtually impossible to go to a specific point, such as after opening credits.
- Can't play music anymore (need another app). All my downloads are gone but they still take up space on my iPad.
- You can't select different audio or subtitles in Chromecast mode.
- In Chromecast mode, subtitles are sometimes cut off by the edge of the screen

Bought remote watch pass so i could watch my movies while on vacation. A week later still no access because the annoying remote watch pass message keeps filling my screen. Thanx for nothing. Canceled my license.

The app works fine for me at the moment, the problem is that I can’t cast to chromecast and the ps5 app is so broken they might as well remove it.

After buying the app i still need to pay to watch my own content? Each year even?

Fix this bloody app already! It's been a shameful mess for over 4 months now! Fix the pause button! Plex is the only app that requires two bloody clicks to pause, between Netflix, Plex, Prime Video, YouTube and Disney+. Fix casting! Fix the disappearing subtitles! Stop rubbing forced subtitles in my face and honor my preferences! Fix the unresponsiveness! Fix having to exit casting to change subtitles! Fix hevc playback on Chromecast! Fix deleted items showing up in the UI! Fix the search chaos and categorize results! Fix it, fix it, fix it!

Horrible money loving leeches. Was ideal at first but now so much is put behind the paywall. Do yourself a favor and set up Jellyfin instead.

How is it possible that Plex still has a 4.5-star rating when the most recent reviews—however many there are—are no higher than one star? How on earth do you end up with a 4.5-star overall rating?

Was een fantastische app, maar crashed, blijft hangen etc. En we moeten gaan betalen om eigen data te kunnen bekijken. Dat zou ik nog accepteren als alles goed zou werken. Ik heb mijn betaalaccount opgezegd. Erg jammer.

App keeps crashing, restarts video randomly, losing connection to the server on internal network.
Old version was better.
