PCalc

I’ve been on a quest to find a good calculator app because the stock one just doesn’t cut it.
Between the gazillion calculator apps out there (usually full of ads and nagging to upgrade to a premium subscription) I found this absolute gem.
It’s the best calculator app you’ll find without a doubt. No wonder, it’s been in the making before I was even born! (Checkout the developer’s site for an interesting backstory).
On a related note, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a very great book indeed.

Absolutely blown away! I'm a calculator nerd, and tried dozens of calculator apps. I love the RPN mode, the programmer's functions (hex, bin, etc.), and the extreme configurability. Fantastic that the 1001 settings sync via iCloud to all my devices. Look no further!

The calculator is ok, but I can’t get used to the icon.
The moment I need a calculator I start looking for an icon that looks like a calculator or with some math symbols. On every OS that was pleasantly consistent.
But PCalc uses 42.
I am unable to train my brain to look for 42 whenever I need a calculator. So I keep overlooking it.
And the singe retro icon with a calculator is too ugly to use.
I am switching to another calculator and regret having bought 42 or PCalc or whatever it is.

Helemaal volledig zelf in te regelen settings & toetsen, geweldig!
Very strange to ask for more money if you want the change the app icon.

PCalc is really the best, functional and customisable.
I live in the Netherlands which has VAT tax called “BTW”.
In the business world you often find yourself needing to find the BTW (tax) amount for something, or having a cost excluding BTW, and wanting the amount including BTW, or, even, having an amount including BTW, but you need to calculate the amount before BTW was added.
With PCalc I can make a customised keyboard with named keys (BTW, BTW+, BTW-) which call PCalc financial functions and calculate any one of these with one key.
Maybe a simple thing... but very handy for day to day tasks.

De enige calculator die je nodig hebt. Regelmatig onderhoud, frequent uitgebreid. Zeer flexibel.

You need this calculator. It is indispensable. New icon is great and stands out much better than the previous one.

It that it is a great calculator for the huge amount of customization, however, I pereffer like a vertical history instead of the horizontal typing tape. Also natural display (typing) and being able to type a full equation in the input line, are must have before it gets 5 stars! So I hope it will be updated!

Very great calculator but I don't get why it does not support the "natural" expression mode, a function which every decent scientific calculator should include? It is for me a must have.

Great calculator but it's annoying that no binary numbers can be shown beyond 16-bit in the main output window, you get "overflow".

Zonder enige twijfel de beste calculator uit de AppStore. Werkt perfect met pluspunt de handige telrol, zodat je altijd terug kunt zien wat je hebt uitgerekend. Prijs is aan de hoge kant, maar is snel terugverdiend door gebruiksgemak.

PCalc is really the best calculator for the iPad. If the RPN mode scares you away, then know that this can easily be switched by the press of a button to a normal calculator mode.
It also works great on the iPhone, but in landscape mode on the iPhone I find the keys a bit on the small side personally.

Great calculator, easy to use. User friendly designed.
Pcalc has a lot of calculator functions but still a clean screen design. Great addition is the conversion option. I choose the app because it offers easy way to do percentage calculations for VAT.
I would like to see in a next version of the app: way to store most-used calculations, like simple macro's.
App is supported with a prompt email answer from the programmer.

PCalc is the best calculator for iPhone and iPad, solid design, fast and very easy to use and all the features one might expect from a calculator !
