Mimo: Python, HTML, Express

Be extremely careful with Mimo subscriptions. Their cancellation process is incredibly misleading. I tried to cancel through the app, was redirected to iCloud and was shown that my Mimo subscription was cancelled. Apparently, another subscription remained active elsewhere without this being made clear.
I was then charged €149.99 and Mimo refused to refund me, even after I explained the situation and asked for my complaint to be escalated. Very misleading cancellation process and terrible customer service. Would not recommend.

Please can u add more languages like: c, c++, c#, go, ruby, Java, nodes.js, php, r, kotlin.

As someone studying backend development, I’ve noticed that you learn an incredible amount while working through courses, but the pace is often very fast. As a result, there are many concepts you learn once and then rarely revisit as you move on to more advanced topics.
This app is a great way to go back to those concepts and experiment with things you might not otherwise use again during your studies. It’s also an excellent learning tool for beginners who want to build a solid understanding of coding. The lessons are easy to follow, well explained, and interactive. You can read and understand code, identify mistakes, fill in missing pieces, write your own code, and much more, which makes learning feel engaging rather than overwhelming.
The one feature I would love to see added is a Read Aloud (text-to-speech) option for the learning content. Many of the lessons explain what different pieces of code do and how they affect the program. Having the option to listen to these explanations instead of reading them could make them much easier to understand for many learners.
Of course, this should be entirely optional. People who prefer reading can continue to do so without any changes. However, for those who learn better by listening to explanations, it could become an incredibly valuable accessibility and learning feature.
With how advanced AI-powered text-to-speech has become, I imagine adding a high-quality Read Aloud option would be very achievable and would make an already excellent learning experience even better.

I’ve been using the app for over a month now but for some reason despite me having done an exercise it still decided to reset my streak? Kind of annoying.. I hope that doesn’t happen again

This game is duolingo but for coding if you want to learn coding you need this app

Ik vind het irritant dat jullie zijn overgestapt naar sleutels. Ik doe er nu 3 weken over om alles wat ik al geleerd had in te halen wat ik toen in 2 dagen deed. Ga alsjeblieft terug naar de hartjes.

Hello i have a problem , opening Mimo if im trying to open the app it says there’s a error in the app and it says : “Oops , try again later!” Can you please fix this bug

But if you don’t have pro you can’t go that fast because you only get 2 keys a day so you can’t only do two lessons

Waarom zijn jullie overgestapt op het systeem met sleutels in plaats van dat met hartjes? Normaal is het zo dat als je gewoon geen fouten maakt lekker snel door kan gaan, maar nu is het zo dat ik na 1 les al door mijn sleutels ben. Dit maakt de app een stuk minder leuk vergeleken met eerst.

‘Oops something went wrong!’ On All tabs after installing the app. Wasted my time

Okay so it takes it very slow and shows the basics of a language, but after you learn like just the coding style and names, you have to pay to continue. So if you already know about coding it only learns variables in that language and print-line and stuff. For beginners its fine, but it’s not enough to really learn how to code.

It’s great! But could you remove the pay-walls, I can only do section one, and I don’t get a lot of keys!

Just started on the first few chapters. I like the way they keep things simple and small for me. Might take longer, but it keeps me interested so far. I do think the scoreboard is fake, just to stimulate me. I have never been a first at anything

Hele leuke app. het lijkt héél erg op duolingo maar dan voor programmeertalen. Het is spelend leren.

I think this app has a good balance between learning new stuff and re-using what you’ve already learned. I also like that there is a huge variety of things to learn. Keep going!

Initially when I downloaded this app, it was *alright*. I got tired of being locked in the small amount of features in the free tier, so I bought pro and it was much better, and it did teach me of the fundamentals of webdev, but later on they added max, and closed the forum so that this scummy company can milk our wallets even more, wouldn't recommend. Use w3schools for fundamentals/basics and built your own X to learn more.

Many apps ask me for my rating opinion way too early. I haven’t even gotten halfway through the lessons yet.
