MasterClass: Online Classes

I like Masterclass and its courses, but the app is a struggle sometimes. When casting to a Chromecast it’s uncontrollable, I can’t turn on subtitles and those things. It just freezes and keeps playing on my tv.
Content is good. Only the app still needs to learn to be a master.

My subscription was not on the app store but i paid €190 without any notice that i have subscription with them and they gonna renew literally nothing on the app thats worth 190 euros digital way of pit pockets

I've seen about two great courses that I found relevant to my progress. The rest was just neatly filmed and edited content with celebrities talking about things you could learn for free on YouTube and a quick search. I would've given it 3 stars but when I learned that I couldn't cancel my subscription and get a refund after it extended, and I was made to pay another 195€ for the privilege to watch the same nonsense that I already saw it became too expensive for me. Def not worth €390 euros. So if you get this dont forget to unsubscribe right away before they cash in again. €195 is exactly what its worth not more.

I must say it’s disheartening to have such an amazing content and such a poor app that hosts it. I would expect with a subscription worth of 250 EUR you should be able to access the content and enjoy the experience of being a subscriber and not having to go through hoops to be able to watch the content or track your progress.

I subscribed briefly in 2022, cancelled via their customer service and am STILL being billed yearly without any notice. Never received a single email to inform me about a subscription renewal, when I spoke to CS years ago they assured me te account had been cancelled and a refund on its way. I only got refunded 30€ and in 2024 they billed me again without any notice. The only way I have gotten them to stop is to raise this with PayPal and follow up intensely. They refuse to refund the two illegal payments they took, it’s wild.

This is so bad. I tried to chromecast 2 courses. But I’m only managed to follow the first 5 minutes. I have an iPhone 15 pro and a broadband internet connection. Every other app is working fine (Netflix, Disney etc). So I cancelled my subscription.

I got Masterclass as a present last year but did not use it as much as I thought I would so after one year it’s ok for me but without any notice they are prolonging my membership and it’s impossible to find a way to unsubscribe. The helpcenter does not give you the right place to be, in fact, the page the referr to does not exist in my account settings. I wanted to quit on the same day as I started last year so not even during my New membership but it seems impossible. Really unsatisfied with the help I’m not getting.

I followed a link from instagram with a discount but was billed the full amount. After contacting them 3 times with no response or almost a week later, I filed a problem with the payment through PayPal. Got the money back but will not subscribe again.

Chromecast stops working after 15 mins. TV freezes and needs to reboot. Progress is also lost.

I feel like I have the best mentors in the world and short but effective masterclasses. I feel motivated, elevated, and if I need more info on specific skill - I find it somewhere else. App is rusty though, you can do better guys! It’s hard to navigate between classes, can’t schedule them, see my progress. But I forgive it as the content is outstanding. Some instructors are worse than others due as they just talk not really lead or teach or mentor, but oh well…it’s alright. Majority are brilliant.

Streaming is impossible. Very bad service. Cancelled my subscription and used the 30-day refund option. Had high expectations but huge disappointment..

The had an LG tv app which worked fine. But they removed that. So now trying to cast from iPhone only the play button shows on iPhone and tv. Program is running which I can hear but now way to get video anywhere. If I stop casting video shows. But I want to watch on TV. I pay a lot of money for that.

This is really a scam. The master classes are very superficial and you will never be able to cancel your subscription if you sign up through their website.

The app never succeeds in casting to my tv. The app gets stuck too. The subscription is too expensive for such bad performance. Material is interesting though.

10 masters is something else. The information given in each tutorial is amazing. These are truly professionals and the amount of hours of video they put in a project is mind blowing. The extra learning/working material in PDF is great. Just really nice to see how much work and effort they’ve put in this.

iOS app extremely buggy. Keeps showing me the login screen even after i login and i cant access my paid version.

I’ve got to say, the poor ability to properly cast to the tv really takes away from watching pleasure (having to watch on my iPhone).
There’s just a poor connection between the app and the tv and I cannot control playback or pause.

But the app doesn’t work with Facebook login - even if I have logged in on Safari first. It means I can’t even use it. Obviously works on browser but the app has never worked for me. Can you fix?
