I used Liquidtext often in the past. It was a great application. But now it is much to expensive. Out of proportion. So I bought Margin Note instead. Goodbye, you just lost a customer.

TL;DR: the app spontaneously looses data, without being able to undo; backup works very bad and you cannot redo changes you have inadvertantly undone.
After using the app for a few days, I lost some data due to some fluke in the app itself. Undoing did not get the data back, and it also meant that I lost other changes. Unfortunately, there is no redo, so the changes I had undone were lost.
Due to the sync, these faults were quickly propagated to the cloud and so they appeared on all my devices. The sync is not a backup method. Fortunately, I also use time machine, so I also had a real backup.
After consulting with the helpdesk, it turns out the only real backup possibility is to return the full application (including all projects!) to a previous state. The application does not backup projects individually, so you first have to export all projects you want to keep, then do a restore of the application to the moment the project you want to restore was still good, and then import all other projects that were exported before.
If you value your projects, do not use this application.

I really enjoy working with this application, notetaking and organising smooth experiance and centralized due to cloud capablity. low the app and help me to be slighly more organised.

Wil jullie bedanken voor deze toevoeging. Werkt heel erg fijn lock workspace, geen verschoven objecten meer tijdens het werken met de app. Heerlijk.

Het is heel fijn om met de app te werken: terwijl je een artikel leest, kan je aan de zijkant notities maken. Er zijn ook heel wat instructie filmpjes waarmee je geavanceerde tools kan inzetten.
Enig wat ik mis is een 'redo' knop, er is wel een 'undo' knop aanwezig. En alhoewel ik de app op mn iPad kan gebruiken, lukt het inloggen op m'n Mac niet. (Hiervoor heb ik reeds een melding gemaakt)

LiquidText has become too greedy by overcharging users for an app with sub-par features, stability and functionality.

Ik vind het een fijne app, maar heb hem verwijderd en op nieuw geïnstalleerd, want had er moeilijkheden mee. Elke keer sloot hij zichzelf af. En kreeg een melding dat mijn account of zoiets beschadigd was, en dat de premium features niet gebruikt kunnen worden.
Die melding kreeg ik trouwens nu ook weer nadat ik hem opnieuw had geïnstalleerd.
Tot nog toe doet hij het goed, maar dat kan zo veranderen. Ben nog geeneens halverwege met mijn project.
Maar mijn backspace doet het voorlopig goed, en daar begon de ellende mee.
Vind het wel jammer dat ik nu al mijn projecten kwijt ben na het opnieuw installeren.

I pay a monthly subscription for the app to not work on my MBP 13 2017. After the new update it just keeps crashing continously.

The concept is very nice, but I encounter a lot of bugs. And the UI is really outdated. Update the UI and fix the bugs. Then the app is excellent.

Would love to add images and wil make this app even better. Hope this function wil be added soon

I like the app, as I frequently use it at night an added feature: darkmode would be greatly appreciated

If you’re looking to actually engage and interact with your paperwork/study material, this is the perfect tool for you. And by doing so, you increase your retention rate.

Files are removed and/or can not be imported. Previous work is deleted by LiquidText. Completely useless/unreliable software. Also there is no option to buy the software ?!?

I have problems with my subscription and contacted customer support. I’m not able to restore my subscription on my device. After contacting support I received a generic response that didn’t solved my problem. After that they just ignored my e-mails.
It seems that customer support doesn't have any priority. It’s a pity, the app is promising. At the moment: not recommended.

I used to love this app and recommend it to everybody. However lately I have been getting a lot of bugs with the synchronization to OneDrive. I can’t access directly my OneDrive files and there is no update of the changes I make into the PDFs. Plus I have been waiting for long for their Cloud service to be released so I could also buy the app for Windows. If they fix everything and release the cloud I would gladly change my rate and keep recommending it.

Prettig in gebruik. Handige instructiefilmpjes om het meeste uit het programma te halen. Vooral het werken met PDF is prettig.
Jammer dat het werkveld niet gemakkelijk te verkleinen en te vergroten is met een knop.
Ik hoop dat er binnenkort aanpassingen komen voor het verbinden van stukken tekst, Nu zijn deze nog erg groot.

The app is full of bugs, but it really needs some performance and quality of life updates. In my opinion it needs:
Better zoom out performance. If you want to get an overview of your notes, the hand written notes get displayed in a weird way and become unintelligible, and moreover all snips get downscaled too quickly so that they become really blurry.
Moreover, it needs better ways to switch tools and colors for writing.
Lastly, it really needs undo and redo shortcuts, e.g. double and triple finger tap.

I don't think the designers of this app have ever actually used it. Once you have made notes on the side of the document and open it on a mac you spend most of your time trying to navigate the slow interface. If you are trying to do a Masters or PhD do NOT use this it will take you forever to finish.
