iConnectHue for Philips Hue

Deze app aangeschaft vanwege 6 gratis animaties voor de festavia hue lichtsnoer van Philips. Nu kom ik telkens op de betaal pagina wanneer ik een van de gratis animaties aanklik. Heel jammer!

Je betaald al 5 euro mag je niet eens een animatie maken. Is “voor leden” ja de rest kan ik ook gewoon in de normale hue app

Al jaren (zeker sinds 2017) betaald gebruiker van deze app. Hoewel de officiële app nog altijd primair in gebruik is, heeft deze app functies waar de officiële app niet aan voldoet. Met name voor animaties en fysieke bediening.

Once the best app there was, now we are forced into the membership, disrespecting long time users. Was this already with the latest update for using Widgets iOS/iPadOS 18, but with the latest 5.11 release (with Dashboard) you only can use it with a subscription.
So now completely over to Home Assistant. It gives more options, it’s free (although I like to donate - which I also did every year with buying the year update from iConnectHue) but I won’t let me forced into a subscription for this app.
Update after Developers reaction: Thanks for your reply. I don’t mind to pay for your app. That’s why I bought every “year in-app” update to support development. But yes, when you add new features to the app only available for subscription members (not being available anymore to choose if you want this to add to the app with an in-app purchase which you always did, then you are forcing long time users to that subscription model. Even lots of the basics within your app are nowadays available within the HUE app itself.

This app might seem cool at first glance. I bought it purely because I wanted to do two things: set the exact color temperature in exact Kelvin units which it does perfectly, and the other: the ability to program light changes in brightness and color temperature to simulate sunset sonrise for my fish tank. I created my own animations for this and used an automation to stop and start them. It worked. Almost. Even though the automation and animation are swithed of now, the light turns on and start looping through a version of that animation that isn’t even on my app anymore. An app this expensive should have these kinds of bugs.

great app but with almost every update the developer removes a functionality to lure / force you into an annual subscription. This time I lost my “classic widget”.

Long time user of this very good app. Now with iOS 18 you can’t use the classic widgets anymore and need to use the other widget method within the app. But…. To get the same widgets as before (large layout), you are forced into a subscription. With a one time payment 2024 option (I don’t mind to pay for this, as I do every year), you only get ONE small of medium widget. Yes, ONE ! I expect top get all widgets UNLIMITED! With this 5 euro payment. So from a 5 star, back to 2 stars. Why developer? Why can’t I get the full widget option with this one time In app payment and need I buy a recurring annual subscription?

You have to pay €5 for the app and then an additional €15 per year for a subscription to use most of it’s features. This only to find out that after all these payments the features (like bulb migration) doen’t work with HomeKit automations. Long story short, I spent €20 for an app that doesn’t work and I still have to manually edit all of my automations and scenes.

To busy to many thinks not even in dutch for 5€

Thanks for a good app. I’ve struggled to connect my hue bridge via official app for 4 hours, and it just didn’t work. This app connected to my bridge immediately.

This is simply THE! best app for config and using your HUE environment. I use it for a couple of years and still beat the standard Hue app.

I have to pay 5 euro for hue dimmer V2, I already bought it. Thats bad, really bad.

I used to use this app because of the apple watch complications. Now I have a new watch but theee are no complications for this app (I restored my purchases). What to do?

I hoped that this app was the best of all, after reading some good reviews on internet but…. It turn out, once you paid for the app, all nifty extras such as control remotely, are not accessible without monthly subscription

The only way to explain just how good this app really is: the app designer should be nominated for the Novel peace prize.

Titel geeft het al aan! Geweldig. Ik betaal al jaren trouw overal voor Grote min punt is dat ik telkens weer moet inloggen bij Philips….

Voor een Hue systeem is dit veruit de makkelijkste app in gebruik. Grafisch zeer overzichtelijk.
De voorgeprogrammeerde scènes zijn erg divers en ook hierin kan je een hoop aanpassen.
