FE File Explorer Pro

Since about a year there is a bug that files get hard cached. Opening files in other apps via FE File Explorer results in the cached file opened even if it was edited in between times. In other words, the new version is not downloaded despite the timestamp even being different. Only after clearing the cache in the settings (every time), the file gets loaded from real storage instead of cache.

I hate using iOS because it’s so limited and file management is a disgrace, but unfortunately it’s the only mobile platform for good creative apps. This file explorer makes the experience the best it can get in an extremely sandboxed environment, definitely one of the essential apps!

* Video stuttering when pausing, minimising and then coming back in app.
Need:
* ADD TABS, save a lot of time.
* Skip generation of thumbnail for certain types or sizes (e.g. RAW camera files). It is too much network traffic and slow directory loading.
* Support 'folder.jpg' for music files in player.
* Remove folder loading delay from animation.

Lovely app, does everything I need it to do and more. In particular I appreciate the continued support of older iOS devices that are running iOS 12, keeping them useful for longer (I use this app on my iPad Air 1st gen). Definitely worth a purchase if you are looking for a solid file manager with lots of options.

Gelukkig de laatste update laat zich weer installeren, bedankt voor de snelle oplossing Skyos. De app is een uitstekende file manager.

De nieuwste update 11.2 laat zich niet update/installeren, niet op de iPhones en niet op iPads, zelfs na verwijderen van de app niet. Kortom maar definitief verwijderd.

When uploading a folder to Google Drive, the app does create the folder in Google Drive but fails to upload the documents that are in the folder.

Please:

I’ve bought FE File Explorer Pro for quickly displaying files managed on my raspberry Pi Samba NAS. Although the files app has become much quicker recently, a directory with 2000 files/directories takes almost 30 seconds to load on my iPad M1, whereas FE File Explorer does this job in less than 2 seconds. So the Apple version is still unusable for me, but FE File Explorer Pro does deliver.
In addition it simply shows more interesting properties of my files, like file extensions. Very handy as my photo camera stores the same photo in two different formats, and using FE it is easy to distinguish between the two. The Apple version just shows what seems to be the same file twice.

I do not need any of the subscription features of owlfiles, paid for FE. What is the plan with this app, is it going to be eol soon? Maybe clear up what is the infamous ‘road ahead’ to be expected for users.

Works amazingly well. I do wish there was an equalizer option when listening to music

The app works as advertised. Though I wish it could open Google Drive shortcuts properly.

I can’t play vids from my Time Capsule there is error for every single one of them. Waste of money..

There is no share option when multiple files are selected, which makes it unusable for serious use.

One of the best apps iPad users should have! Stable, frequent updates and upgrade lots of mounting options for foreign file systems. You should buy it it is worth it!
