I love this app so much. The dark mode allows me to learn in the evening hours in bed, that makes me very happy!

I love watching Chinese costume dramas and already can distinguish some words. But this app helps learning more!

There are many apps out there to learn Mandarin. If you are a beginner like me, there is no beating this one though. Fun to use and you actually learn something, and since the last update it got even better! The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because of the writing of characters questions. The screen reacts poorly to input with a pen, you have to be too precise to satisfy the hints which does get annoying. Also an option to try without hints would be very helpful, where you can just compare what you wrote to an example that pops up at request. As a request: could you incorporate more listening exercises without the answers in pinyin or pictures? Listening to mandarin speakers and understanding what they say is still my weak point, and at the moment I have to use other apps to practice that. One other request; could it be possible to allow users to play their music in the background, instead of the app taking over sound completely? I study a lot in places with a lot of background noise, it would be better for my concentration if I could block that out. As a last request, can you make it possible to do the reviews of lessons after closing the lesson as well? Would be great to quickly reinforce knowledge about subjects that way without having to do the entire lesson again. Thanks for the great app though! Absolutely love it!

I got the paid version and I practice everyday - it’s a great app - totally worth it!

I really enjoy this app! Plenty of options to practise vocab and good use of pinyin and characters.
Sad it’s so expensive to buy the full version, if it was a bit cheaper I would do it straight away.

The app is great. Probably the best Chinese learning app I have tried so far. However, it is very poor at interpreting Apple Pencil strokes when learning to write characters. The character writing exercises seem to be designed to write with your finger on a phone, but if you do the writing exercises on an iPad with Apple Pencil the strokes are way too thin and often get marked as a mistake even if you did the stroke correctly, but your stroke is not completely straight. I hope the devs of ChineseSkill can take a look at the Chinese character learning app Scripts and how it works with Apple Pencil.

When the lessons that has video on them comes up the videos plays without sound. Many retry and suddenly the sound is there.

I payed a lifetime subscription (very expensive) and a few months later I could not access the app any more?!?!
I tried to contact the developer several times via email and the app support with 0 reaction.
Watch out with taking a subscription, you risk to pay a lot of money for nothing!

When learning pronunciation I have to choose between two white boxes but they’re both empty white....?! There’s nothing in them, no supposed text... please fix this. Otherwise good app.

By repeating listening and recognizing the Chinese characters you learn Chinese fast and efficiently.

This app makes learning Chinese actually seem easy. It’s a fun way of learning Chinese. Simultaneously focusing on reading, listening, speaking and writing helps to remember and noticing differences and nuances.

Good app to get to know Chinese language. As a total noob, this is a great start.
I would like to see somewhat more active translational exercises. (From eng to Chinese) these are always the hardest!

This app makes learning chinese for me an easy thing to do. Im using it almost everyday from now on.

I haven’t gotten very far yet but it is fun and easy, I love the exersises and also how I can review individual topics. The explanations are also really good. :)
