Byword

I was a big fan, but now capitalization is broken and Byword drains my battery. Please fix that, than the app deserves 5 stars again.

After that it started started to continuously show me a synchronization error, which made the app unusable.

Als je in markdown wil werken is deze tekseditor je beste optie. Met name ook de publicatie functie voor mail, wordpress en evernote is zeer prettig in gebruik. In een handomdraai een schitterend artikel gepubliceerd met correcte opmaak.

This a very nice and smooth Markdown writers app. It renders much better than Elements. Only I would like to host my own markdown files over FTP(s) or SSH and hope that this can be a feature in the near future.

Perfect workflow on Mac, iPhone and iPad. Great feature set, promises to get even better. Excellent customer support.
Export to email works flawlessly, even with footnotes. Yes, you read that right, footnotes in email. With clickable links from the note reference to the note text... And back.
I had some trouble with the iCloud implementation on the Mac app, but the newest releases seem to have resolved those issues, so now all is well. I can write my articles and work on my book wherever and whenever. Excellent.

I had just spent an hour typing in a document without interruption, went back to the document list, reopened my document...
All my work was gone, everything except the first two lines.
I never left the app, I checked the Markdown preview a few times even. Just swiping back to the list view erased an hour's work.
There's no save button, no indicator to show whether the document has successfully been uploaded to iCloud.
A writing app as beautiful and pleasant to use as Byword shouldn't delete a user's work. It only has to happen once to make the app completely unusable; if you can't trust it to save your work at least internally, you can't risk wasting any time on it.
Very disappointing.

Goeie app voor t maken van documenten. Kan ze per mail versturen. Meer heb ik niet nodig

Hele mooie app met strak lettertype. iCloud integratie werkt bij mij nog niet helemaal. Misschien een bugje. Maar voor de rest een hele handige app die fantastisch is samen met de Mac versie!
