• Worst app I’ve had

  It doesn’t work, I can’t get/pay the offers I’m given. When I do pay the app doesn’t get my payment so I can’t read the book I started. And the help centre leaves you hanging and doesn’t respind to my questions…. Don’t do it!

• Meh book selection

  The app has some really nice book summaries yet most of the books are ‘selfhelp’ meaning, redundant words put on paper. Also the personalized ai summary will take a 150 page book, generate a 5 minute ‘summary’ skipping most of the context and ideas.
  I like the idea, i just don’t like the actual app.

• Pay full subscription and get nothing.

  I recently bought a Pro-premium subscription but I can’t access the full library. An email to the support department is still unanswered. Hopefully a review can make a difference?

• Updating your library…

  Suddenly the latest app version available on iOS 15.7 is broken as the My Library shows a modal pop-over stating “Updating your library…”
  I’m not able to upgrade my iPhone. Too expensive. Am I now stuck with a year subscription I cannot use or will this be fixed?

• Unstable app

  I liked the idea of the app, purchased a subscription and then was unable to create an account due to errors. I see that more people face this problem, then need to solve via support mail.. if onboarding a user is so hard, imagine the rest of the app..

• Be careful, many books are not available anymore

  I saved many books that I can listen again, though about 2 months ago, many popular books were not available to play anymore. In the AD, they still promote these books (e.g. how to talk to anyone, the 5am club etc.), but you cannot play these book anymore, be aware of it.

• It is a trap dont buy!

  Omg the summaries were so trash, don’t purchase it! Really it is so midwit you get nothing out of books. Summaries are terrible and bring nothing to you. I would give 0 stars really, Blinkist is such a scam

• Be aware of promotions

  Great app, great blinks. Bite sized reads or audiobooks! Learned a lot over the past couple of weeks.
  Unfortunately you’ll also be receiving an avalanche of promotions. Both push messages by the app and by mail. Rather annoying.

• Want to like it, but…

  I was ready to go premium, accepting the 60% discount offer. But, I can’t login somehow (Google SSO). It just redirects me to choosing the account I want to login with. Figured to ask for help through the help functionality, but that is blocked by Google since Zendesk doesn’t comply to the rules. Ending up here now.

• Downloading is broken

  I bought Blinkist premium to download books for my travel to Canada to listen offline, only the app is broken and downloading does not work. Waste of money

• Buggy app. Decent service

  The service is nice and useful, but it’s not a substitute for reading or listening to books as advertised. I use it as a summary of listening to lots of books, then helping me to choose which books to read and get more in-depth exploration on a subject.
  The app has bugs which require it to be closed and re-opened to get it working.

• Abonnement Blinkist Pro

  Gisteren Blinkist abonnement aangeklikt, na informatie dat er een proefperiode van 7 dagen aan gekoppeld was. Nu check ik het en zie ik niks terug van een proefperiode.
  Sowieso vind ik de App-store qua koop informatie zwaar onder de maat.
  Ik wil nu van mijn Blinkist abonnement af en beroep mij op mijn consumentenrecht.
  Graag bevestiging, dat ik geen abonnementsgeld verschuldigd ben t/m 23/9/25.
  Ik reken op een snelle reactie.

• Good!

  Like it, good product. Takes time to navigate through the good and bad books, would be helpful is the books were properly curatedfor their quality and whenever the reader is a lifeless AI the user experience becomes very difficult to listen. The increasing use of AI guarantees I won’t keep paying for this service.
