The users of this app are super racist! The posts are racist and the comments are even worse!

The only reason i would have to open 9GAG again is if they gave you to option to not show videos. But they won’t because people are already asking for it for years. Thats why 9gag is now just a worse version from tiktok or reels. While it could be something unique like it used to be.

It used to be mainly funny memes. Now: more propaganda and spam than anything else. And the Chinese company obviously doesn’t care as blocking the daily returning same spam would be very easy.

App keeps opening AliExpress in Safari every couple of seconds. Done with it, just removed the app.

Been on 9GAG for years but this app is so buggy. At first the audio stopped playing every few seconds that they finally fixed after months. Now the small ad banner in the bottom suddenly takes up almost the entire page. Can only see the top of the page and the rest is covered by a grey block with a small ad in it

I’ve used 9GAG for years and I can laugh at dark or edgy jokes, but over the past few years the amount of outright racist content has increased noticeably. What used to feel like humor now often crosses the line into hate. On top of that, the app makes it far too easy to accidentally open the share menu by long-pressing content, which is risky given how offensive some posts can be. Better moderation and small UX improvements would make a big difference.

Being a very longtime user I dusted of my account and found out that 9gag has been taken over by lets say the less civilized people that roam the internet. Moderation is nowhere to be found and the classic punz have been replaces by the generic political driven hatespeech things one can imagine.
Looking for the memes and punz? Look elsewhere. Removed the app.

The app does never show the article I tap in the Facebook app. It opens the 9GAG app, then very slow a privacy warning shows up from the bottom. But the warning also disappears before I can tap the “accept” button. And then it just shows a random article, not the one I came for.

Boycot this app, it does not censor Zionists making fun of the murder of innocent children. It boosts genocide denyers.

Sound of videos keeps stopping, have to restart the app and it happens again after a few minutes. Has been going on for a long time now and it’s kinda annoying, please fix it :-)

ads play on max volume regardless of your volume settings or having muted audio on videos. It’s forcing me to not use the app at night or in the morning because of this incredibly annoying design. Paying for Pro to stop the Adsassault is not a great incentive. I can’t even come up with any other benefit because the ads are so prominently the only reason. While scrolling, you put your finger down, then slide to scroll. With the previous version of ads, if you put your finger down on an ad while scrolling, you got kicked out of the app to go to the ad website. Glad you fixed that, but this made it worse.

Used to be a fun app , now filled with bots and the more you scroll down the faster it drains your phone battery and freezes. there’s a lot wrong with the app.

Used to be a fun app, but the number of posts by bots for politics have made the experience awful. No attempt to moderate. Only install and use if you want to have cheap political propaganda beamed to you day and night.

Please make sure that when i open the app again it doesn’t bug out and I get to where i started 3 days ago. Now i have to scroll down again every time i open the app

This app should be banned in the Appstore. It contains a lot of bots nowadays which try to influence you with political statements by making particular posts popular by plus votes of other bots. The same goes for posts with ads; easily to identify by the first reaction on that post: “nice where can I buy one?” with a lot of likes.

Content used to always be unfiltered and hilarious. But now you must keep an ever growing list of bot accounts to blacklist just to get a few funny posts.

Sometimes you blow air out of
your nose from the funny but it’s mostly a long sigh because 9gag is infested with propaganda and bots.
Would not recommended at the moment.
