Windy.app - wind & weather

Definitely a good app, but it’s very pushy on the subscription models.
I don’t need any amazing, perfect, specific model. I just really like the visual widget to see in a glance when I should grab my bike. IMO €34 per year, on a discount, is a ridiculously high amount. Especially to just see the strength of the wind for a bike ride. I can imagine for water activities this may be more warranted, but no simpler, inbetween subscription based on needs is available.
However, everytime I open the app I get pushed towards the subscription options, and even when I try to go past this screen I get a pop up to check if I’m sure because only 1000 people get access to this discount! - yes, I’m sure, like I was the last times I opened the app.
Actually annoying you to the point to either buy or delete the app. While it’s a good app, I’m getting the vibe the team only wants a paying crowd. Maybe don’t offer it for free then? I like the app, and the free app is sufficient for me, but I might be moving on due to the pushy notifications.

I started a 7 day free trial and then got charged immediately for the full year. Very frustrating.

Bought the PRO functions but it still gives me the simple version and tells me to buy again to unlock pro. Very frustrating, as I need the functions right now on my short trip in the mountains

This app(location) can run on Mac OS X, but you can not select a full screen. It is not a Mac OS X app.

Not friendly UI.
I don't even understand how to set it properly.
Is this app mostly for wind forecast? Or also something more? Nothing it's clear about this app!
What it's clear that they want you to pay!
I never pay subscriptions for Weather Services.
If they want to make money they better show me some advertisements.
I will uninstall this app and keep using other reliable weather apps like Foreca & Accuweather

I like the app, I bought a discounted life time pro version. But when I switched to a new iPhone , I am back to subscribing for memberships… can windy.app explain why this is? Other paid apps I am able to download when I bought them, but here no.

Ik ben erg blij met deze app. Ik kan heel veel zaken apart opzoeken en vastzetten zodat ik elke keer alle gegevens kan zien die ik wil weten.

I don't like weather apps trying to sell me anything and this onboarding page is cringe.

If you’re a surfer, this app is only +/- 70% accurate.
Sometimes it shows 1,5m with 6,4 sconds. But it’s actually FLAT.
Other times it shows swell coming from land. Try to surf that

Perfect for scouting kite spots. Both historic data and the ability to compare models makes it a great buy (i bought the pro). Furthermore it is beautiful, smooth, well designed, and love to see all my favorites in one go.

Every time I open the app, it shows a pop up advertising a very pricy pro plan, and the developer is i taking an extra effort to make it hard to close that pop up.
I know devs need to pay their rent, but this app is pushing it to the next level.
