Watch to 5K: Couch to 5km plan

I was going to give this a perfect rating, until it let me down today.
Switching back from workout app I was in countdown of a walk, counter hit zero and nothing happened, no reminder to start running, until I rotated the crown.
This happened twice, whereby one time voice over was double.
Not sure what happened but it sort of ruined the workout.

Forget the other running apps. If you want to start running, this is the one. It’s got all the features you want and non you don’t.
Price is the best.
Stats are great.
Watch integration is the best.

In a world of subscription based apps. This one does exactly the opposite and is therefore refreshing to see. The functionality itself is to the point with no bloat. The app is easy to use and very thoughtful. Would recommend. Note that sometimes the app doesn’t update the Heart Rate to the Apple Health app. But happens occasionally.

I did the couch to 5K challenge years ago with a stupid phone app that was mostly a pain to use. Now on it again (haven't been running for years), and this app is the best thing I could have found to get in my feet again. It's simple (no nutrition advice or zones or whatever, just a timer with vocal countdowns) but effective. This allows me to leave my phone at home, put on a podcast and run at the proper intervals.
Only downside is you can't mute the vocal countdown, but the developer is quick to respond to suggestions and questions.
