Utiful: Move & Organize Photos

I imported all my foto’s into this app so I could sort them. It just said: import failed, so there were no foto’s in the app, and my camera roll was empty. I could not retrieve any foto! So thanks a lot. Unbelievable. All my memories are lost now, I don’t know what to do.

I paid for it.
Now they disabled the functionality I once paid for.
Even just adding fotos to it does not work any more.
What would you do if you car just stopped working and you had to pay for it to get working again. You would sue the hell out of them. That’s what we should be doing right now. But in the Netherlands the final outcome would be that the sales-agreement would be ended and I would just get my money back, but still end up with an app that does not work...not worth the trouble.
So the only thing I need to know, is how I will get my photo’s back out of this hijack, blackmail programm?

Another app changing to a subscription system, and in the process killing the present functionality, I already paid for, to force me into subscribing !
The author's comment that existing users are able to use the app without subscription is ridiculous, since the update blocks the ability to add photo's, rendering the app totally useless.

I bought this app a few years ago and was very content. It got better all the time.
Today I opened it and got the message that they changed their policy and now you need a yearly subscription for almost 20 euro pro year! I’ll delete it!

will be a subscription app from now on (€19,somewhat per year). I totally dislike subscription apps so I deleted it right away..

Utiful proves itself as a very clever photo tool that absolutely adds useful organizing capability to the iPads and iPhones in my family.
Moreover, the appmakers really listen to their users; shortly after having requested a backup & sync feature I received a positive reaction. Syncing between all my devices works like a charm!

Works ok but miss some functions like select all and move all to Google Drive or Dropbox

Within utiful everything works as advertised, but you cannot save images directly to the utiful albums nor do the utiful albums appear in the normal photos overviews. Also, once imported into utiful and deleted from the camera roll, the photos don't sync normally via icloud drive anymore. Naturally the utiful app can be backed up, but its content is not visible anywhere but in the utiful app.
