Really good adaptation of the boardgame. It’s error free with a very good user interface. Top notch with a very tough AI. I still haven’t won all challenges.

I’m a hardcore board gamer, and was skeptical about playing such a beloved - and complex - game as an app. I’m glad I did: this must be the best adaptation of a board game ever! Everything is really well-done, especially representing so much information in a way that allows us to keep a sense of the game. Plus, it (a) teaches the game; and (b) provides a solo mode that doesn’t exist otherwise. Amazing!

This game is fantastic. It is quite hard and for once the AIs are also very good at it. The UI is so helpful in making it a bit easier because it communicates exactly what the consequences are of every choice.
The music and graphics are very tasteful, wow what a stellar implementation this is!
By the way this game is 1000x more interesting than any civ ilisation games from which the original board game took quite a lot of concepts.

Ontzettend leuk en verslavend spel. Ook offline is er voldoende uitdaging door de vele Challenges die je kunt spelen en de uitstekende AI. Dit spel is zijn geld dubbel en dwars waard. En als je op zoek bent naar nog meer variëteit dan kun je voor een paar euro de Expansion erbij kopen.

Het spel is geweldig in alle opzichten. Overzichtelijk en mooi speelveld. Tutorial is uniek vermakelijk en volledig. Het spel loopt geweldig, is uitdagend en spannend ook spelend tegen AI.

The game is very nice adaptation of the board game. Done very nice and with intuitive controls. However, please look at the crash logs since it crashes often. On both phone and iPad. And equally important is the huge battery drain. Please check if the game has no coding that makes the battery ‘leak’ or at least try to optimize the battery usage.

I still don’t know what I am doing after playing several games. So, lots to learn. The interface is very informative and makes it a pleasure. The only downside is that playing a game takes a long time.

I play this a lot with my friends whom I unfortunately don’t get to see too much IRL. Works flawlessly and we can’t get enough of it. Also, the tutorial is very funny, that alone is worth buying the app for.

The base game was already very good. The expansion gives it an extra layer; more options to get to victory. One of the best - if not THE best board game made into an app!

As I have not played the board game, I cannot compare it to that, but the app has an easy way of playing and includes quite a humorous tutorial.
For the first few days, I found it quite addictive. I only played the single player version, trying to beat a series of challenges.
The board game is well received, but I can find myself frustrated by the luck (or the absence of it) of the draw. I tend to keep in mind however, that it is a board game. That is to say that the random ‘luck’ effect is fairly limited for such a game.
The price is a bit high, but for board game geeks like myself, it will definitely guarantee you a pleasant and easy playable digital board game experience.

Took me 8 tries to beat the easy opponent, really because of bad decisions and people/food/energy/brick balance. Really tough and satisfying game. Incredible user interface and undo possibility. This game stands out. Never thought this game could be created in digital form.

Dit is spel is geweldig. Iedereen die van Civ houdt zou dit spel op z’n iPhone moeten hebben. Happiness op peil houden, research en productiecapaciteit opbouwen, military might gebruiken om je buurcivs af te persen of aan te vallen. Cultureel powerhouse of militaire dictatuur. Spionage of diplomatieke afspraken. Wereldwonderen bouwen. Nog één beurtje spelen. Dit spel heeft het.

Through the Ages is an awesome game and is well worth the €10 I shelled out for this digital version.
The tutorial is great and the AI is very challenging at all difficulty levels.
Tons of content both offline and online.

Great adaptation of the board game. I have played other online versions, but this user interface surpasses all. And you can play against the computer which is more fun then I thought it would be. The ai is very strong on hard level.

Just as the boardgame: love it!
With multi player and/or local games. People who know the game, I would strongly recommend this to those players.

Het originele bordspel is ontzettend goed. De app doet het bordspel eer aan. Heb je het bordspel nog niet, schaf hem aan. De app is rijkelijk gevuld met verschillende modi. Het is een heel gaaf spel om met vrienden te spelen.
