If you can't have the paper version then you'll enjoy this (almost) as much

... why is there no possibility to buy the weekend paper only? The app is well done and reading on the iPad easy and intuitive. I have no time to read a newspaper everyday but would welcome to be able to subscribe to the weekend edition only.

At last the iPad version of the Guardian is here - although the delay was probably due to the wait for the new iOS. It doesn't disappoint - great layout with sections clearly divided. Photos really come alive on the screen, and the text is extremely clear. You can decide to keep up to a month's worth before they are deleted. Free for 3 months from launch date, then £10 per month to subscribe. Even though there's no Observer (at the moment) or search facility (at the moment) a clear 5 stars.
