For anyone looking for a dating app, Taimi is not the app you might think it is.
It presents itself as one of the leading LGBTQ+ dating apps, but my experience was very different. Within minutes of creating an account, I received multiple likes, which felt highly suspicious. In my opinion, many of these profiles appear inauthentic, and I worry that photos of real people may be used without their knowledge.
The app offers Bronze, Silver, and Gold subscriptions, encouraging users to pay for additional features. However, after paying, I personally did not feel I received the value that was promised.
Based on my experience, the app relies heavily on creating the impression of activity to encourage subscriptions. Its high rating made me expect a trustworthy platform, but my experience did not match those expectations.
I also believe Apple should take a closer look at apps that use aggressive subscription models and ensure stronger oversight to better protect consumers.
