Sonos S1 Controller

When we have multiple Apple Music accounts. It stops playing and says lots connection to Apple Music. While Apple Music plays fine on other devices.. so its a Sonos problem.

Since the last update, March 2024?, I do not see the names of my Apple Music playlists anymore and I am not the only one.
Will this be repaired or was this the last update of the S1 app?
Funfact, the playlist names do appear when I set an alarm.
Just saw a new update, 30 July 2025, still no solution.
Just saw another update, 3 December 2025, still no solution and now the app can’t connect when the speakers are in a different vlan.
That used to work fine.

Veel problemen gehad met S2, maar S1 werkte nog wel prima. Nu een update gehad van S1 en services zoals Apple Music, Spotify en Deezer zijn niet meer toe te voegen of te gebruiken. Waardeloos, nooit geen Sonos meer..

Word ik nou gedwongen om nieuwe apparatuur te kopen omdat mijn speakers uit de eerste series te ‘oud’ zijn voor S2?!

Op geen enkele manier is de play 5 (gen 1) meer aan te sluiten, en ik ben niet de enige lees ik op internet. Kan dat nog opgelost worden ? ?

Heb mijn systeem nu 10 jaar, paar jaar geleden naar S2 app gegaan. Deze werd steeds trager met selectie van geluid, zenders en nummers. Soms wel 30 seconden, werden er gek van. Nu weer de S1 geïnstalleerd en systeem gedowngrade. Werkt weer als vanouds, wel slecht dat de app steeds vraagt omsysteem te upgraden naar S2. Niet doen, dat lijdt tot grote ergernis!

Sonos is a miss. Spend your money on something useful. Speakers that still work great are not supported. The s1 app directs you to their new system and won’t let you enjoy your music. Be warned.

Is er een mogelijkheid om de continue melding dat er een S2 versie is uit te zetten? ik heb namelijk niets aan die update.

Will look for another brand that does not require this private data. Plenty enough brands that dont!

After months of struggling with the “improved” S2 controller: slow playing music, unclear interface and slow search results, happy to switch back to S1. Works like a charm.

Veel geld uitgegeven aan het systeem, maar de ondersteuning van de app is zwaar beroerd. Geregeld geen verbinding, boxen die uitvallen, eigenlijk voortdurend wel wat. Dikke spijt van deze aankoop.

Deze app werkt slecht en is erg traag. Super frustrerend. Ik gebruik nu meestal spotify om het systeem aan te sturen.

Nog nooit zo’n slechte app gehad als deze. Langzaam, eigenlijk gewoon niet te hanteren. Troep.

Het systeem vertoont helaas te vaak kuren. Dan is die speaker niet bereikbaar en dan die weer. Ook kan soms een hele kamer niet worden bereikt waardoor muziek slechts in één kamer te horen is.

Na update mega traag en sonos roam ene keer wel en andere keer koppelt die niet. Afrader dit systeem

Have been a customer for almost 10 years.
I have Play:1, Play:5 and Soundbars.
And i’m giving up. Sonos has completely killed the product. It sometimes takes 15 to 20 minutes before everything is working. Watching the App add and remove the components, changing things, stopping and starting the music on its own. And just as you start actually hearing music out of one of the speakers, it goes down again and all 5 components are gone. But wait! Some are coming back again. Ahh no, gone again. Music is still playing somewhere I hear. Restart the app. Go through the same 10 minutes of watching the App do several things by itself again. No music out of one group. Ah wait the app changed the group by itself again. Aahhh no, devices are gone again but one.
