Computer analyses? Free in the apps of market leaders chess.com and lichess. Why paying for it in Social chess?
With a lot of options in free version it was a nice alternative of existing chess-servers. But now making money seems to be winning here. In the Free version you always had the opportunity to make computer analyses. And in one day....... the option has gone, you have to take a subscription for $ 11 a year. That’s ridiculous. It is a good friendly chess-server, but incomparable with the professional ones. So now you have to pay for a little fun. After all you better move to chess.com, lichess or chess24. Free computer analyses there in free versions. There you have to pay if you want lections or play masters, which is logical.

Na update moet je opnieuw inloggen en moet je nieuwe gebruikers naam opgeven, why? En dan werkt het nog niet!

Last week bought. Crashes this morning. It gives the text error.
Can’t start it again.
I want my money back. This is a shame.

How wonderful it is that you update the app, and now It logs you out of the app!
How daft is that?!
Not to mention the app seams to get slower and slower in response after each update.

Is a shame but slowly slowly free functionality are disabled and you have to upgrade to a membership subscription in order to use functions that where available at one point. Also the subscription price has slowly been increased.
Nice app but I see more and more users no longer using the app.
One can only guess why?
Still not able to log in as it has been such a long time since I made my membership that I no longer remember my username or password.
So now the app is useless to me.
So do yourself a favour DONT UPDATE!

Oh my gosh! what a awful update.
The app is soo much slower, uglier and more confusing to use!
Ever heard of if its NOT BROKEN DONT FIX IT?
Well we hat seam to be the case here.
Really unnecessary interface changes, and app actions like swipe to analyse game is both glitchy and not as responsive as before.
My actual board and pieces have now changed again, also adds confusion.
New game is moved alongside settings that are no longer available with a non subscription app.
Is a great shame as this used to be one of the better chess apps
For such a simple and clean game, its now even more unnecessary graphics interface changes and Soo slow now!
Think Im going to go back to another chess app.
I stoped using this app now, on the premise its no longer user or speed frendly....
If I could go back to the previous version I would in a blink of an eye!
So if you like the way the app works before October 2020!
Dont update as it dosen’t fix anything only changes the app completely in not a good way!

Great app, but the yearly price (for your high scores) is very high!
No iPad-version, would be nice if that could be added too.

It is really fabulous to be able to choose one’s own user name which best suits one. And I am happy to be so unique and original as every new name I choose is still free. Thank you Social Chess!

Social Chess is a very clear interface too play Chess.
Board, pieces and other things are Graphical class!
Try it too play Chess and you keep playing !

Very nice app dose every thing you would expect, no silly ad, that I noticed. Recommended for a nice simple game of online mobile chess.

So there has now been a design change/-app refresh. However so far I haven’t updated as there are quite a few complaints about the interface and how the game now works.
Also noticed no fewer than 8 updates in the past month!
Perhaps finish the app / main update before beta release to the public. I dont like to be the tester when using an app or software!
Get it 100% then release it!
As a result Im still using the older / reliable version!

Through this app I was able to meet very many of my past opponents all over the world with whom I always wanted to play again. It made me a happy man!

Wel wat aan de trage kant bij een iPhone7 als je een partij aanklikt. Bij de nieuwe update niet meer van links naar rechts kunnen swipen maar de “linkerbovenhoek pijl” moeten gebruiken.
Maar kortom, hou je van schaken? Dan moet je social chess hebben. Zeer verslavend.

Heb contact gehad met Lee Carson.
Er wordt aan gewerkt.
Ook aan de oude partijen weghalen.
Geduld is een schone zaak, de volgende update afwachten!
De geslagen stukken zijn veel beter in zicht.
