ROMEO - Gay Dating & Chat

Ever since the latest redesign of version 5, lots of basic functions are no longer working. And yes my device is on the latest iOS version, but there's a lot of buttons not responding or hardly responding. There's text disappearing behind the keyboard while you're typing, with no way to make it visible except to dismiss the keyboard. Filters can no longer be adjusted, the button does nothing now. It's no longer visible when a filter is applied and when a filter is disabled, because the app does not provide a clear distinction, etc etc. It's a mess and we're no longer on version 5.0.0. Please developers, revert the app back to version 4 until the bugs are sorted out?

These apps are getting more vile by the day. The marketing team is addicted to GenAi and they block twitter users who said something about them highlighting an “Israeli Fugitive” sob story on their app and website. Truly despicable.

What’s happened with the last update? Notifications don’t work properly anymore, it’s slow or even worse, doesn’t work at all!

The latest update completely changed the user experience and introduced interactions that aren’t common in other apps. Why was the search bar removed from the Chats screen? Why do users now have to long-press a chat to access basic actions? Why not use the familiar swipe-left and swipe-right gestures that iPhone users already understand?
The new action button also feels strange and unintuitive. Overall, this update is a major step backward in usability.

Geluid uitzetten, trillen uitzetten… werkt niet.
In een bericht typen: komt je toetsenbord half in beeld.
Foto aanklikken: kom je weer in een apart scherm, naar links/rechts swipen kan niet.
Iemand blokkeren: staat die nog steeds als “geliked” bij je foto.
Alleen notificatie aan staan: krijg je geen rood bolletje op je app.
Tekst direct van iemands profiel selecteren om te vertalen: werkt niet.
Rating van foto”s wordt steeds preutser. Je hoeft maar iets naakt te zien of het wordt al te spannend voor de kijker. Stop met de preutsheid!
Moet ik nog doorgaan :)
Blijft fascinerend hoe bedrijven updates de
Lucht ingooien en deze dus niet goed hebben getest.
En dat voor een betaald abonnement.
Heb hem daarom maar opgezegd. Te vaak van deze bugs. Ook voor deze update.

After update I have to keep on login, deleted the app installed it again , still have to login every time.

Volgens de omschrijving zou door de update de app gebruiksvriendelijker zijn geworden, ik vind het juist veel moeilijker geworden om de app te gebruiken en vind het zeker geen verbetering.

After updating to the latest update from 10-06-2026 all pictures from all my (old) chats are gone! Only the text remains. All pictures are gone. Very bad. I carefully saved these for years and after one update they are all gone.

Last update is terrible. No changing settings anymore. Keeps change back to default. Keeps logging out. Pls fix the settings bug fast

Heb het idee dat berichten niet aankomen van mij en bij mij! Plus abonnement kun je niet afsluiten blijft ie zoeken of zecht het gaat niet neem contact met customer service. Ben even weg geweest maat planet romeo blijf hard achteruit gaan !

They review your new public photos and confirm it. However, they might make your private photos public while doing that. The support will confidently tell you that it's not their fault when your private picture now is in your public photos somehow, and the app doesn't even allow that even if you wanted to put your private picture in public photos.

Deze app is zo vreselijk fantastisch ik krijg aan mijn deur de ene na de andere date de ene date verdringt de andere date. Mijn voordeur is al weken niet meer dicht geweest en hij is compleet beschadigd aan alle kanten van alle hete dates aan mijn deur. Sommige zeer hete dates vielen zelfs zo met de deur in huis het is onbegrijpelijk zeg fantastisch deze app. Wel jammer dat er geen duidelijke handleiding bij zit……Andy van Ommeren

After payment, they block the profile and as for identity verification . Why not ask it before accepting payment for a year.

Op het datingplatforms kunnen nep- of geautomatiseerde profielen voorkomen. Deze kunnen zijn bedoeld om activiteit te stimuleren, aandacht vast te houden of gedrag te sturen. Wees alert, deel geen persoonlijke informatie en neem afstand als interacties onveilig of verwarrend aanvoelen.

Het is een beetje een oud app,het lijk op een website, uit 2001, ik herinner me dat Manhunt gay web er zo uitzag, en het ziet er nog steeds zo uit ,Manhunt app, kopie u naar facebook

So I checked the app this morning because it had a badge and then the paywall had removed the profile that visited me but kept showing the badge. This is pissing me off. In a rural area this happens a lot. The only country where this app is good is Germany. So both community spread and paywall clash with the context of local spread and usage. Will never pay for this.
Update: they have narrowed down the range of stickers, it escalates quicly from "like" to "hot" and everything sexual. Where is handsome or cute? For those that like to start off with a ginuine conversation with a real compliment. Now im just out there saying "LIKE" forced to communicate like a caveman.

De app is er op achteruit gegaan, te weinig taps en kun je niet duidelijk aangeven wat je leuk vindt of dat de gene geen contact meer moet opnemen
Ver weg zoeken kost nu geld

I am menber since 2006. For me this is the best dating app. It makes it possible to meet other men of any age easy in a reliable way for whatever the purpose is to meet them . Also I like the policy of Romeo. They always support homosexuals in the world who have problems in their existence in the countrys they are living in.
