PhotoSync – transfer photos

Amazing app! All my photos were transferred from my old iPhone to my new one within minutes. Super fast, easy to use, and incredibly reliable. Highly recommended!

But I do run into an issue with autosync at night. The trigger is when charging and at the fixed time 00:01. But this mostly doesn’t trigger. My guess is it is because my phone is already done charging by that time. If you can change the trigger to “plugged in” then I guess it would work as intended, or allow the sync time to be set manually, but both would be best.
It also works fine when entering my set geolocation, but I only set that because the other trigger doesn’t work as well.

Helaas no connection. 5d Mark 4 wordt wel gezien maar krijg melding “could not Connect to camera”. Betaald versie; iPhone 12, iOS 26.0

So, I searched all over the website but found nothing about the costs, even not on support page. Then downloaded the app, opened it, still no prices, no help section, nothing. The app first needs full permissions for my photos? How can and why should I trust an app which is totally not transparent about prices of Pro and Premium but does first want full permissions?

I just purchased the pro version and I am quite happy with it. However for some reason, the SMB navigation is very slow. This also impacts uploading photos. I tried different SMB versions but this didn’t have any effect.
When using another app on my iPhone, SMB works as expected.

I just spent €6,99 for a photosync app that not automatically syncs my photos if i don’t spend more.

There is no option to test full functionality without a feature limited pro purchase or a monthly subscription fee. Why would anyone want low resolution backups anyway? I can’t test whether this app is fit for my purpose and setup so I’m uninstalling it right away. Also more expensive than advertised by Linus Tech Tips. Bummer.

It has so many options, works reliable and fast. However, it seems not possible to sync all items and put them in smart folders. It’s either a one sync recent folder with everything or sync per type, but then you would not have the regular photos. Doing both seems to troublesome plus you’d have duplicates.

The app hasn’t been updated in a year, and upcoming features like encryption have been removed from the website.

Tried to trigger the automatic sync of my icloud to webdav or any other reasonable integration. It does not get trigger. Threw a way some money for this not working feature

This is the best app of its kind on iOS. When you set up a sync with some triggers (like, sync when charging or when arriving at a location) it will just keep doing its job in the background. I open the app once a year just to make sure but every time, it has backed up all of my photos without fail. So literally: set and forget.

Only solution where you can backup albums, and it works very well. Backing up to my local ftp server Nas.
Would like to be able to select years / months within albums, but hey.

The level of features and configuration options are insane! Support is also one of the best I have ever experienced. This is the level we want apps to be. 10 out of 5 stars.

I am using it for a few years now. Best by i ever did. Does what it has to do. By webdav to my NAS fully automagic. At first i had an issue, but the support was great, they fixed it in a jiffy. To be short: this app is worth every penny.

For € 25 way to expensive. No remote control possible via bluetooth for the camera app. Only 4 commands via Siri (limitless haha). Starting the camera app via longclick is annoying. Only 4:3 for the camera (come on who uses that in 2021? Etc etc etc…€2 would be enough for this joke.

I have been testing this app multiple times in different scenariOS. Occasionally I experienced a crash. Either the app failed to continue sync, or the app on the Mac crashed. I changed the sync from WiFi to usb and it continued. Changed back to WiFi and all fine. Now it can’t find the Mac on iPad. After a restart again fine. But overall, and compared to its competitors, this is the most reliable app ever. Would be nice if you could add sync to IDrive.
