N26 — Love your bank

De enigste nadeel vind ik is wanneer er een betalingsbedrag afgenomen wordt zonder mijn goedkeuring en ik het niet terug kan boeken .

Ik heb de rekening al jaren. Plots krijg ik een e-mail dat ik geen bedragen meer erop mag ontvangen en dat mijn rekening eenzijdig wordt beëindigd.

I’ve had a great experience with N26. The app is easy to use, intuitive, and makes managing my finances really convenient. Transfers are quick, the interface is clear, and I especially appreciate being able to manage everything directly from my phone. Highly recommended! ⭐️

Erg fijne en overzichtelijke bankapp. Het werkt snel en je hebt direct inzicht in je uitgaven en inkomsten. Het aanmaken van een account was erg eenvoudig.

I’m locked out of my bank account because you require a newer iOS since today with no warning of when this was going to happen……….
Edit: the reply suggests I can just use the browser but you can’t make payments without your paired device (which is the phone they no longer support)

I loved N26, till I got a new iPhone, still kept the old one, I can not get N26 working on my new iPhone, probably have to delete the app on my older iPhone before I can install it on my new one…. Why?
All my other bankacounts I have it’s not an issue having an bankapp on 2 or more devices!
Please fix this!

I love this N26 bank, uou gus are always by my side. In cases of problem i do not stress because I know help is always available in 1 step.

Warning: do not rely on N26 while travelling. Shortly after opening my account, €2,500 was blocked without warning and is still inaccessible. They should ask questions or warn customers before blocking funds. Imagine being on vacation and this is your only money. Revolut or Wise may be better alternatives.

No nonsense bank. Happy user for some years now.

2 year in, got my new metal card automatically due to suspected fraud. Didn’t had to do a thing! Any issue has always been resolved promptly in the app chat. Only I would say that cash deposit is an issue outside Germany, the cash 26 system for now is only available in Germany and Austria if I’m not wrong. For anything else N26 Metal is the new quality standard! Highly recommend also for traveling, been in US this year, best conversions rate I’ve seen, no hidden commissions, no nonsense conversions rates. Fantastic!

Talked to customer support on the phone and via the support chat multiple Times, nothing helped, also sent all the documents the asjes for, still nothing, it’s my money I should be able to do with it whatever I want.

The only app with some poorly designed privacy system that makes my phone go dark even though I’m accessing it. Makes using this bank a terrible experience

Werkt altijd goed. Alles makkelijk te vinden. Echt tevreden over N26. Ga zo door!

App net een maand gedownload en me gehele account is geblokkeerd. Had net me salaris erop gezet, zit al 2 dagen zonder eten. Klanten Support drukt je gewoon weg, geven niks om je. Alleen downloaden als je je geld bevroren wil hebben.

Stay away from these cowboys. I got money in my account after selling my house ( from a notary, who by law checks everything before payment ), then came the surprise, without any notice they froze my account. I had to reach out to them since no one said anything to me. When I contacted them they closed the helpchat 2 times on me. I requested info but all it says: “security check 72 hours.” Its been almost a week now. No service, no explanation, just random messages from supoport with the same message ( seems like bots ). No one helps you, they all send the same. This happens a lot, check the recent reviews online. I contacted German lawyers and BaFin and they confirmed this too, they are a shady company. Thanks N26, I bet you are investing my money now and calling it a “security check”. Future customer do yourself a favour and run away from them, in my case its about €200.000+. I bet some clown will reply on this review trying to be amazingly empathic, dont be fooled with them. I am happy I saved all communication as evidence. Scam bank, I hope they revoke your license.

This is honestly one of the worst banking experiences I’ve ever seen.
I tried to open an account, and it kept giving errors for no clear reason. It’s not just me. I have 6 friends who tried the same thing. One from Canada, one from Romania, one from Austria, one from the Netherlands, and others too. All of them got errors during signup. That says everything.
The app looks clean, but it doesn’t work when it matters. What’s the point of a “modern bank” if people can’t even create an account?
I also heard from a friend in Denmark that he had around €900 in his account and it disappeared instantly. No clear explanation. No real support. Just silence.
There’s no physical bank, no real place you can go, and the chat support doesn’t respond properly. You feel stuck with no control over your own money.
I don’t recommend this bank at all. Actually, I would say avoid it completely.
