Monese - A banking alternative

The app works fine, but they offer a free plan which obviously has limitations. And then the limitations and costs increase. They do explain what will change, yet in a confusing way. So I moved my money to Revolut and sadly closed my account.

In the app it says sepa payments can take up to the following business day and in waiting for more then 3 business days and you cannot contact monese diractly. Very trash customer service

Trying to close my account in app, but after weeks I’m still able to login. Would really like to fully close my account, but doesn’t seem possible.

This is the most terrible online Bank I have ever experienced. They block your account without giving any reason or further information request. A lot of people are complaining in their review about Monese. It can take months before you hear from them

I have already sent a few e-mails, but there is no response from your side.
I wanted to change my address, but in the app there is no possibility to choose the Netherlands as country. Therefore, I cannot enter my new address.
I have now closed my account, because I cannot bank with an organisation that does not have its affairs in order.
A response is not necessary anymore. I am done with you.

Monese is well known for freezing accounts, blocking all money and not responding. This is how they operate and Monese keeps these monies in their accounts. The only way is to take them to the Court.
Financial Ombudsman Service is a private Limited company. This is part or their scheme on stealing money. :/
Monese clearly knows that lawyers are too expensive and nobody will do that. Therefore most people just forget their money and move on. This is a criminal scheme Monese practices.
They blocked my account 4 months ago.
I send formal complaint more then a month ago and still did not received any response how to unblock my account or when I will be able to get my money back.
Also my request to close my account and to transfer my fund to another account has been totally ignored. They not even have the decency to confirm its receivement.
Waiting for a ‘response’ is a joke. Some people are waiting for almost a year. The NEVER get back to you.

I deposited 27.04 money to my account by a postoffice and in London.
I had to call them where my money was. Every time they wiped me off, without any information about my deposit. They were not helpfull about solving this problem!
Today 07.05 I received it finally, without any excuses or information...! They took my monthly fee from this...yes, with these things they are quick.
Good advice for all, don’t choose Monese! I will close my account!

Im trying about 1 month to inloggen in my account, but I cant not. i have 650€ in my account and i have call monese and send like 20 email but i get no reaccion

Add top-up using PayPal, doesn’t make sense that I can acces my PayPal account in-app but not top-up my monese card with it

I was able to register ... but then the app failed to validate my address although I was at home. So I still cannot access my new account. No customer service, after more than a week no one has bothered to respond to my support email. Doesn’t give me much confidence!

The app is IMPOSSIBLE to use! Tried signing up multiple times, however during my first attempt it could not verify my location even though I was at said address. Second attempt it refused my phone number. There is no browser-option which makes the experience very user-unfriendly. Shame.

Fijn om een virtuele pas te hebben met Apple Pay, maar je kunt niet overal betalen en een tikkie versturen van of naar je Monese rekening lukt ook niet. Misschien dat er in de toekomst meer mogelijk mee is.

Not getting my money that was sent to this account waiting one week.Nobody answer phone or email.I know six people with same problem right now.I am angry and waiting my money.

Haven’t come in to any issues with the app, card came fast, no hidden fees and is great if you need a card to be able to pay for online international websites.

I love Monese so much it helped me so much all over europe for my work
