Mapstr, save & share places

They lured users and if you go over 300 (when you’re active) they locked those users out until they pay.

Really like the interface and navigation. Also its nice that you can create your own tags and add multiple.
But i just can’t find a few of the bars and restaurants that i like who are on google maps. So thats a no for me unfortunately.

Great! On a trip and I do need to update to use the app. Now I see a photo of an ugly man when starting the app and I have to subscribe.
Ensh1tification to the max!

After years of great use, now everything is behind a pay wall. I had such a great collection and now I can’t add or do anything anymore because you need to pay a subscription.

300 places really. To further use the app you need to pay a high amount. So basically useless.

İnstead of adding new features and putting them under a subscription they limited the most basic features (adding places) under a new subscription plan. Scum of the earth. App is useless now.

I’ve enjoyed using it for years (~1500 locations saved), but now even the basic feature of saving coordinates requires payment

Love the app. Two features would be great:
- offline mode for abroad
- possibility to remove the default pictures

I’ve had the app for years but after update the app says it can’t be installed. So I can’t use it any longer.

The app does not even open. The screen turns black and closes the app automatically

I wanted to give the app a 5 star rating. It has high potential, it is authentic and it has nice features to make it more personal. The idea of sharing maps for example, is a great one. The picture feature needs a big-big update though. The quality of each uploaded picture is reduced significantly, the resizing is done completely wrong. The app uploads public pictures automatically when you add a location, but I guess the goal should be to make maps more personal with - mostly - your own pictures. You can delete those pictures, but only one by one and you can’t put them in a preferred order. A nice app though, with great potential!

Adding pins is ridiculous.
And you can’t save them.
THAT’S THE WHOLE F’ING POINT OF THE APP!
You can’t search for an address (yes I know where and how to do it. It doesn’t WORK).
You can’t add a pin IF you finally manage to find your address.
Ridiculous!
Even bigger FAIL after ‘update’.

De eerste indruk van een nieuwe app is cruciaal. Als ik dan:
- Op de eerste schermen tenenkrommende (ver)taalfouten zie;
- Constant de melding: ‘We waren niet in staat om verbinding te maken met onze server’ krijg,
Dan houdt het voor mij al snel op. Idee lijkt leuk, uitvoering slecht.
Ik probeer het over een paar maanden misschien nog een keer. Eerst even de kinderziektes eruit.

Hi team! I love this app and my friends and I had loads of fun on our latest trip in Italy, sharing our favorite places. One quick suggestion though: any chance you would be working on a way to add addresses to mapstr directly from Instagram/Facebook? Let’s say I see a post about a place I’d like to try, I’d love to have some kind of button either on IG or Fb that would open mapstr and add it, rather than having to through the trouble of going from window to window until we’re sure we got the address right? If you’re already working on that, forget I said anything ;)

I have been waiting for such an app for years. Finally some smart guys who developed this extremely handy tool. The combination with Google maps and sharing with other people is a brilliant function. Thnks and hope you continue for a long time.
