MacroFactor - Macro Tracker

I like the app how it is, how it gives you training according to goals however the most important part there is just not alot of option when searching for food in europe the most basic things in the netherlands the app cannot find I have to manually add alot of things, such as wraps? Regret buying for a year

An insanely good app, would recommend to anyone. Worth the hefty price tag. Amazing UX, which is the reason it's so popular in my opinion.

I used YAZIO for three years before switching to MF, and I kinda regret not making the change sooner. I love almost everything about this app—the customizable dashboards that let me keep only what I care about on my home screen, the food timeline (which I initially disliked but now can’t live without, since it helps me spread my meals evenly throughout the day), and the adjustable macro targets that adapt based on your weight and intake. The overall focus on muscle building sets MF apart from most other calorie trackers, which tend to focus mainly on general weight loss.
The only downside for me is that when adding new library items with non-US labels the app defaults to sodium instead of salt, and unfortunately that can’t be changed (in the EU, nutrition labels always list salt instead).
Lastly, personally, I never rely on food databases and prefer to add all foods myself, but if you do use them, you might find MF’s database a bit underwhelming compared to something like YAZIO or MFP. It is growing, but it’s still not nearly as extensive.

Requires a subscription to work, not a free app. AFTER you spend 10 mins setting everything up you get a paywall

Just barely not a 10/10 app — but much better than the competition! I’m sure this’ll be fixed but… food search here in the Netherlands, under the Quick Add tab, can’t find food from most Dutch supermarkets. But it CAN scan their barcodes and recognize them. If they updated and improved food search + some barcode functionalities, this app would be a perfect 10/10

i could never focus on diet because it was such a pita to log in common (albeit free) apps. such a relief how good this works

I have tried every macro tracker out there. Every free one and some paid versions. But nothing compares to MacroFactor. The coaching part just finishes the experience completely. It feels so personal and actually tries to get you results. And it will. Great app

Ik wilde van deze app houden, hij doet alles goed, de prijs is niet megahoog maar er is een gewoon een overduidelijk probleem wat myfitnesspal gewoon niet heeft.
Er staan nauwelijks europese producten in hun database. Ik moet 4/5 producten die ik scan eerst invoeren in de database. En items die niet gescand kunnen worden, zoals bijvoorbeeld een standaard Italiaanse Capuccino zijn al helemaal niet tevinden. Dan verschijnt alleen capuccino in een doos van een of ander Amerikaans merk.
Misschien gaat dit over een paar jaar veranderen maar voor nu moet ik helaas bij myfitnesspal blijven.
Ook hoop ik dat het mogelijk gaat zijn het abonnement aan te schaffen via de website zodat de prijzen wat omlaag kunnen.

The only macro tracker where I actually enjoy using it. I tried and given up on multiple other apps, but this is the one where I’ll keep tracking!

This is the best app to have if you want to lose weight, the expenditure is calculated just using your weight trend and calories consumed and is very accurate compared to other methods, I’ve already lost 10kg using it, it is amazing with great user interface

Tried alot of apps, this one has all the features but with a nice clean design. No distractions with unneccesary or incomplete features. It focusses on what it is, a calorietracker with well balanced goals!

The App is finicky, text is too small. The UI lacks clarity and coherence.
I much prefer the UI of the Cronometer app…

Its a good app but it misses some crucial functionalities. If for example you select focus on high protein intake, the app will not suggest you any high protein sources. Would be helpful if it can give some advice regarding nutrition.

when science/health go IT... i know details and thoroughness are important in health & science sectors, but we need an app to be intuitive and efficient. not cluttered with options and multi step interfaces. gosh, logging food shouldn’t be this hard. like what’s the purpose of a plate builder? should i really be logging my food twice? why does the search bar remember my search when i already found my food? why can’t i drag food when i accidentally logged them at the wrong time? why do i keep logging food at the wrong time? why is ‘move to today’ an option when i want to move my food of today? gosh, guys, please simplify your gorgeous app!

Tried different apps in the last few months, but going to stay with this one. Great features with a clean interface and without the begging for premium features. It is just paid, which gives you the best experience. Really feels like a personal coach, well done!

I have used the app for the trial week, enjoyed it, good functionality and appearance, however I had to manually enter food for a few times, I guess for Europe the food database is not there yet.

Many common supermarket items from both Australia and the Netherlands are missing or (what is worse) have slightly off calories and macros.
