Letterpress – Word Game

The new upgrade allows to play against a computer. Which means that there are no more waiting times and it's good to know that the computer is not cheating like other human opponents.
LP is such a well designed game that it's a charm to play it. It's very strategic and makes it exciting to play against friends. Well done.

I just wanted to play Letterpress with my visually impaired girlfriend, and was stunned to discover that the app is still not accessible. It is not that often that I give 1 star for a favourite app, but I hope this is a wakeup call for otherwise brilliant in his skills as developer Loren Brichter...

This game does one thing and it does it extremely well. Everything is centred around making the core experience as satisfying as possible, without unnecessary bells and whistles. Some minor gripes include the fact that we're still limited to one dictionary but this game is still a shining example of mobile gaming done right.

The game looks good, concept is good. But the big miss, all the time the game is in the app store still no Dutch dictonairy!

Mooie vormgeving en grappige geluiden. Nog geen enkele fout ontdekt. Je kunt gratis twee spellen tegelijk spelen, als je meer wilt betaal je €1,79. 1 minpunt: niet in het Nederlands.

The idea behind the game is very nice, however, the automatch opponent feature does not work properly. One gets an opponent automatically, and this person auto-plays a word, which is suspicious, but after playing a word yourself the automatch opponent automagically resigns. So, that does not work. Latest attempt resulted in me starting play, while there was no opponent yet, also suspicious. Another possible improvement is a possibility to see (at least) and perhaps change one's profile data. I don't know my username anymore, and there is no way to find out what it is.

Super, alleen jammer van de vele cheaters. Verlies regelmatig met een compleet rood bord. Zonde

Het leek een leuk en leerzaam spel, helaas kan je maar een spel per keer spelen, iedere extra tegenstander kost je 0,89 ct per keer Dat wordt op den duur een héél erg duur spel.
Het is ook niet mogelijk om een uitgebreide versie aan te schaffen.
Jammer want het spel op zich zelf is wel leuk.
Ik moet het 1 ster geven anders kan het bericht niet verzonden worden maar ik vind het geen ster waard.

Echt leuke interactieve variant van scrabble, voor iedereen die niet genoeg kan krijgen van words with friends en soort gelijke spellen, dit is echt een aanrader!
Oh and for the maker yes I read the update notes and I like your humor!

Zó simpel gemaakt, maar zó leuk. Helaas gaat het ten onder aan het eigen succes. Gamecenter kan het niet aan. Bovendien is er echt een tijdslimiet nodig. Zit nu al dagen met een spel met iemand die geen woord meer legt. Ik wil uiteraard niet opgeven. Daarom nu slechts 3 sterren. Kan niet wachten tot het in het Nederlands kan worden gespeeld.

Says 5 games ready to play. When I open app, it says waiting for turn everywhere but has no values for the other players. Player ID in 'game overs' is (null).

Very interesting new word game. Nice clean interface. Great idea, but it needs features found in other games to make it a great game.
1. Only random opponent, no connection with Facebook or possibility to add an opponent to a favorites list.
2. No chat option. Your opponent is anonymous, except for his or her name. No way to get in touch.
3. No time limit to make a move. It can take hours or days before you can make your next move. Which can make it boring.
4. Only (US) English, no other languages.
I see this version as a beta. Needs much aprovement.

Great UI, nice sounds, and most important of all, fun to play.
Would be great if you could see statistics (eg number of games won/lost). A rematch button would also be appreciated. With these additions Letterpress would definitely earn five stars.

Erg leuk spel. Jammer dat je maar 2 spelletjes te gelijk kan spelen. En nederlands zou leuk zijn, maar niet noodzakelijk.

Great mechanics, UI and concept! Just miss multiple language support, gamecenter, rematch, timeouts (e.g. 1 day until the player automatically resigns).
