Letterboxd

Since the update 6 days ago it’s taking forever to open the app, search for movies, add my movies. Can’t watch my stats, it’s giving an internal error. Loved the app, not so happy now…

Hele fijne app, werkt goed en is niet complex, gewoon simpel en werkt goed. Ook vind ik het leuk dat je onderling kunt lezen wat iemand allemaal doet op zijn profiel. Zo kun je met je vrienden hier makkelijk over communiceren en dit ook een beetje bijhouden. Wel zou ik het helemaal top vinden als er een filterfunctie was die je watchlist kon filteren op een bepaald streamingdienst. Dus dat als je alle films die in je land te zien zijn voor Netflix kunt filteren. Op die manier hoef je dan niet op google te zoeken waar ik het moet gaan kijken. En dan word de watchlist voor mij ook iets wat ik meer zou gebruiken.

It’s a very good app and the social aspect is great. There are a few TV shows on there, but not all. I’d rather have everything in one app, so back to IMDB.

Amazing! I think if they would add the option to favorite actors/ soundtracks or producers it would be even better. It would be interesting to see my mutuals’ favorite actors.

Feedback where feedback is due, the commenting system is really bad, communicating with other members in general.

I’d love to be able to directly reply to other users, maybe sent texts or lists to friends, a feature where you and your friend can choose a movie to watch, or watch a movie with, stuff like that
Anyway that’s the one thing that kinda bothers me, and feedback is key
Letterboxd is still the goat

It’s my favorite app ever! It makes it so easy to keep track of movies, watchlists, and even friends’ updates. It would be a perfect 5-star app if they added the option to create collaborative lists with other users and a random movie bundle!

I really like the app, it’s easy to use and funny to see how many movies I watch. I do however find it too bad that I cannot add series - miniseries I can add, but I’d like to add normal series too.

Ad on a gray background covers the whole screen when trying to read a Journal Article and there is no way to dismiss it. This makes the app completely unusable, fix this!
Furthermore, the main page is often empty and filled with static content. It would be great to have Suggested films or lists based on our watchlists and liked movies instead..
When checking my profile the first movies to appear also include low rated movies and there’s no way to hide them.. I don’t want the steaming pile of dump that is five nights at Freddy’s as the spotlight of my movies list

Has scummy, not to mention ILLEGAL, ‘legitimate interest’ privacy consent practices.

Fantastic app to keep your movies you watched, but now with my new phone (iPhone 14 pro max) i will not let me to share my movie review to instagram stories, it says that lettrbox not supports instagram stories

The best app in the entire world. Love to log films daily, have conversations and see what other people think of movies.

I love the carousel view. I like the idea of the app in general “ movie buffs and movie lovers” I do have a few suggestions to make it primo and I would definitely pay to get the abonoment!

Implement watchlist folders
like - actors/ directors/ POD/ writers
Notifications - new films of your favorite actors /directors/ writer/POD
Include TV series
Include soundtracks
More favourite films top20?
Add favourites to favour and remember actors/directors/writers /soundtrack
Make it easier to create lists
Default settings such as “newest first”
Implement a personal note box for my liked films.

Great for reviewing movies in a social way and ranking movies. But you there arent any series you can rate and rating movies out of 5 stars instead of an actual normal rating from 1-10 isnt that great.

Uninstalled the app today because Letterboxd deliberately blocks and censors ratings and reviews for films that do not align with their personal political views.

I love Letterboxd, the user interface is very beginner friendly, the amount of different features is awesome and as a patron you get a lot of fun extra features. Love it, keep it up Letterboxd!

I use it every day. I wish there was a version of the app just for series. The better IMDB

I personally have no problems with the app it works good for me but when I first downloaded it it glitched I couldn’t even log in so I had to first delete then install it again since then everything has been working fine

So I’ve been using this app for a while now to rate films and rank them and share it with my friends. And it’s great, i absolutely love it.
But, wouldn’t it be great if we could also do this in show form? Rank and rate tv shows, maybe even rank the episodes from certain shows? That would be so cool!
