Leer Talen: italiaans | Drops

Love Drops; to me it’s a fun way to casually practice new words in Italian. 5 mins a day is great to practice next to some more serious apps like Duolingo.

Hi Drops team!
I’d love to suggest a feature that I think could make language learning even more fun and personal.
I’m currently learning Bosnian with Drops because my girlfriend speaks Bosnian fluently, and I really enjoy learning the language. I also love Bosnian music, and that gave me an idea:
What if users could paste or upload the lyrics of a song in the language they’re learning, and Drops could turn those lyrics into a personalized learning game?
For example, I could paste the lyrics of a Bosnian song into Drops. The app could then:
* Translate the lyrics into my native language.
* Highlight useful or new vocabulary from the song.
* Explain the meaning of words and phrases in context.
* Turn the vocabulary into a personalized Drops-style game with exercises, matching, multiple choice, listening, spelling, etc.
* Perhaps even let users practice the vocabulary while listening to the song.
I think this could be a really engaging way to learn because music makes vocabulary much easier to remember. Instead of learning random words, you’re learning words that already have an emotional connection and a context.
It could also make language learning feel much more personal: everyone could choose songs they genuinely enjoy, whether that’s Bosnian, Spanish, Korean, French, or any other language.
Lyrics are often readily available online, so users could simply paste the lyrics they want to study.
For me personally, this would be an amazing addition to Drops. I’d love to be able to take a Bosnian song that I really like, paste the lyrics into the app, and turn it into my own little language-learning game.
I hope you’ll consider this idea! I think it could be a really fun and powerful feature for Drops. ❤️
Thank you for making language learning so enjoyable!

I am usually not someone to write reviews but i like this app so much! Since the owl app has become horrible, i needed a new app to practice some Swedish that i could use besides my coursebooks. I found this one and i like it so so so much! The lessons are very clear, super fun and it’s easy to learn new words. Highly recommend!

When it had 3 options for language level then why it begins with basic it become boring for intermediate or higher level people

Top app, leert je op hele leuke en diverse manieren een taal te leren, in no time heb je tientallen woorden geleerd en kun je beginnen met zinnen maken/leren. Ik ben inmiddels begonnen aan de 3e taal die ik aan het leren ben.

Its certainly a good app for language learning, but something that really annoys me is that you can only learn for 5 minutes a day. If you want to keep learning you have to pay

Ik probeer mijn IJslandse woordenschat te vergroten. Dat ging in het begin heel goed, maar er komen nog maar weinig nieuwe woorden en zinnen bij. De dojo waarmee je je geleerde woorden kan onderhouden, is te onregelmatig. Sommige woorden komen heel vaak terug, andere nooit.

I dont like how you can only learn a certain amount of words in a certain amount of time because it wont help

Ik gebruik de app om Portugees (vanuit NL) te leren en gebruik graag de luistermodus als ik onderweg ben. Helaas zijn er veel woorden waar geen geluid bij is.
Ik heb dit al meerdere keren in de feedback functie gemeld, maar het wordt niet opgelost.

I lesten a lot from this app. A few exercices have Tiny letters that I’m unable to read

De cursus Russisch is niet ontwikkeld, kennelijk wordt niet verwacht dat iemand het meer dan 6 weken volhoudt. Het lijkt op oplichtig!

Payd subscription and need your personal information. Not needed for learning a language.

In the basis a very nice app although not all translations are correct and it looks like nothing is done with feedback. What annoys me are the incorrect pop-ups and messages: in the middle of a section the statement that you are ready whilst there are still words to come (you have a counter at the right bottom guys….), messages that they saved your streak while you did your daily lessons (the calender shows no missed days guys….), and every day you need to click away the requests to subscribe (does this have to be every day?). In my opinion the pricing is not in line with the quality of what is delivered.
Update: the pushing for a (too high priced) subscription became so annoying that I decided to stop using the app. You almost have to use the same amount of time to click these pages away as that you can use the app. Useless.

If you wish to learn a language you start with a vocabulary like you used to in school and that is what this app does. It offers you to learn and expand you vocabulary in the language of your choice in 5min sessions every day. You can set a reminder every day! There are different topics and different levels. During the 5 min sessions there are various ways of learning the language which makes it easy app to use but also still challenging after using the app for a while. If you want more than 5min sessions, you can buy a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription.

Waardeloze app. Manier van leerstof aanbieden is op kleuterniveau. Ik was nog geen drie minuten bezig of er werd al twee keer fiks gepushed om een abonnement te nemen. De zaak meteen opgezegd en verwijderd

Только начала но уже знаю пару слов, советую, всем кто скачивает удачи (учу французский)

I really like this app, sad that you need to pay to have more than 5 minutes per day. Learning Dutch, super nice to practice and learn new things. There is Portuguese, from Portugal. Very rare, so super happy. Finally a app with Portuguese from Portugal. I like the design and easy to use
