Kickstarter: Projects You Love

Very disappointing experience with Kickstarter. I backed and paid for a project, but I never received the product. I tried contacting the creator and followed the steps Kickstarter recommends when a project fails to deliver.
After that, I contacted Kickstarter support as well, but I have not received any meaningful response from them either. Kickstarter is happy to facilitate projects and payments, but when something goes wrong, it feels like the backer is simply left on their own.
I understand that crowdfunding always involves risks and that Kickstarter is not a regular online store. However, when a creator stops responding and a reward is never delivered, I expect Kickstarter to at least take complaints seriously and provide proper support.
So far, I have lost my money, received nothing, and received no real help from Kickstarter.

I’ve been scammed a few times now. There is zero protection for the backer when a project doesn’t deliver. There is NO action whatsoever from the Kickstarter team. This platform needs to die out

A lot of projects are scammers, and kickstarter does nothing to prevent it, or communicate with backers who complain about it! Even when there is obvious fraud going on. It keeps the projects running without interference.

Beware! Way too much scammers on Kickstarter nowadays. Never pledge expensive campaigns by creators you don’t know, I’ve learned the hard way. Kickstarter won’t help you.
One thing; I still back creators like illustrators and artists I’m familiair with who create small campaigns with their art every year. For these honest people it’s a shame kickstarter does nothing to repel the scammers.

then go for kickstarter.. I’ve been scammed with multiple projects I backed. Money gone and no response, not from the campaign owners but also not from Kickstarter. In my opinion kickstarter has become a lawless marketplace where rules do not apply. In the past I also successfully backed some projects, but currently about 50% of the projects I backed was a scam in some way. Looking at the campaign comments, many people share my opinion. Too bad because I love the crowdfunding idea for sincere initiatives.

And kickstarter do nothing about it (for example next Nova and the tornado. People keep investing over years)

KS allows and does not act on the increasing amount of scammers present on this platform!
There are easy ways to avoid this but KS prefers to collect the fees instead of helping backers! And does not act and react on complaints!

Backed 2 projects back in 2017, both projects got funded successfully but they never provided the reward. Nothing Kickstarter does about it. Lost $654 in total by using this scamming platform.
The two projects I backed where called: Love Turntable & Cubibot 3D Printer

You know the idea is good, the execution is crappy. In the app there is an overview page with “successful” that should be “successful delivery”. Now people think that everything is ok, but it’s not. You should take some responsibility instead of money.

Can’t filter in app, but you can filter when using the website. I want to check for upcoming projects, but it’s just not possible in app. No reason to have it then

Not able to complain when your money is paid and there is no product send to you so watch out don’t pay to much

Kickstarter systematically doesn’t take any responsibility for creators that don’t deliver anything and don’t return the pledge money. This means that a scam is quite easily organised, and pledgers lose their money. Not good, and bad business.

Kickstarter used to be an open organization helping creative projects to get off the ground. In the last year however it has turned in a greedy money sucking machine. They can even silence the voice of a backer by blocking his account from posting, BUT NEVER REFUND HIS CONTRIBUTION.
My advice - never trust these con artists and the projects they are supporting !

Scam alert. Stay away from KS. It is not worth it anymore unfortunately. No support and no products after you pay for them in 50% of the cases.

The app keeps closing and can’t get it to work properly
