I love this digital dairy. Easy to use and very nice to look back over the years. Never tried the PDF mode, I’ll try it soon.

This app tricks you into thinking you're getting a great deal, but in reality, it charges you twice the amount! At checkout, everything looked fine, but when I checked my bank statement, I saw that I had been charged double—without any warning or confirmation.
Reaching customer service? Useless. Either no response or generic replies that don’t help. This feels like intentional deception to get more money out of users. Stay far away from this app unless you want to pay double for no reason!

There used to be an easy way, where you could swipe through entries from today 1, 2, 3 etc years back, but they removed it. Now you have to select 1 year, quickly tab it, read it, go back, select the next year, quickly tab the screen, read it, go back…
And if you have 12 years of writing it is a pain in the a.. to read back old entries.
I asked over and over why they removed a super useful feature, but I just hit a wall with support.

Nice to work on your personal development in this way. Especially the online coaching is incredibly practical.

Het is jammer dat in het overzicht nog steeds geen 24 uurs aanduiding is maar dat het altijd nog getoond wordt in am en pm! Dit moet toch eenvoudig op te lossen zijn!

Heel fijn en overzichtelijk. Zou wel tof zijn om net wat meer details te geven aan je dag qua mood etc.

Het synchroniseren met google drive is nog steeds een drama, soms werkt het even dan weer een poos niet en dat is reuze irritant! Vroeger was dit probleem er nooit maar recent gaat het vaker fout dan goed!

On their website, they have a page that compares them to Day One which claims they're better because Day One charges lots of money. Furthermore, that Journey offers flexible options including a lifetime access for one fee... Actually, Journey has 1 subscription price, which doesn't even seem to be consistent!
Take a look at their In-App purchases list on the App Store - no consistency, and furthermore, not consistent with the TWO, yes TWO prices I was offered in the app.
When I first signed in, I was shown a screen for 50 (or 55) percent off if I purchased now. When I clicked the popup, I was shown 37% off an annual price of €30,49 and a little 60 second countdown timer trying to trigger FOMO, which is a dirty marketing trick on its own.
I declined and then clicked to get membership in preferences and was then shown a discount of 37% of a yearly subscription of €47,88 per year. But then when I click the little "Membership" banner where it says "Try For Free", it offers me the price of €31,99/yr after a 3 day trial.
This kind of messy, mixed message on pricing is a huge red flag for me so I'm out.

Have tried various journaling apps and methods, but keep coming back to Journey - it suits my requirements best. Some more options for prettifying would make it five stars.

Got the lifetime subscription and use it on several devices. Great app and delivers what they claim. Small hindrance currently on my iPhone 14 pro trying to get the lifetime subscription to “stick”, it keeps jumping back towards the free version.

Great app. So far I have the non paid version and it working as it should: a diary which I can write my thoughts in. And for now I dont need more. I love the fact that you need a code to open the app so everything I put in there is strictly private.

Works great, imported all my day one notes and photo’s. Its way less expensieve then the new day one for which you have to pay per year.

Since the complete rewrite the app crashes quite a lot.
Also some functions may look prettier but are a disaster to use (specific the look back function where there is a stupid counter and you can only see a few lines of older entries)

Overall an amazing app that does everything an app like this needs to do right, right:
- Clean UI
- Good syncing
- Pleasant typing experience
Though I am very confused as to what ‘Premium’ entails.
Is it the lifetime membership but only for iOS devices?

Since the rewrite the app is very clumsy to use.
