The speed changes per chapter.. super weird, and you cannot leave reviews of the books - why?! Also they only have 2 voices.. what?! And they charge for this.. if you ise AI, at least add more and good ones.They also change the covers of the books and they all have the same style.. it is unsettling, they dont look like the originals

Very difficult and misleading process to unsubscribe! It has cost me a lot of money. Not recommended!

I signed up for a one-month trial and ended up being charged not only for the subscription but also for three extra books I never requested — including 50 Best Reads, Sex Education, and Self Reflection.
When you contact customer service, they give the same scripted excuse every scammy app uses: “The option was there and you accepted it.” Completely misleading and feels like a setup to charge you for things you never agreed to.
Total month subscription costed me about 50eur

Not very happy with app interface, though to find interesting summaries. After one month, apparently the subscription costs went up from €10 to €32. Did not notice this at signup, very expensive. When wanting to end the subscription, you have to navigate through many annoying screens on a tough to find website. App has been very annoyingly growth hacked

Even though I love to read, to be able to listen to summaries of so many interesting books makes it so easy to access knowledge!

When you click continue after paying for the subscription, they automatically sign you up for additional services and upcharged. I was charged twice >50€ even though I only gave permission for a 20€ subscription. Horrible way of dealing with new customers.

The app is okay (with the discount), but the renewal process of the subscription is very silent, no communication at all, it just ping 130 bucks in your credit card without a single warning, and according to the platform, there’s nothing you can do about that. So make sure that you CANCEL it as soon as you subscribe, so in a year you can think if it worth to keep it or not

In der App findest du viele Zusammenfassungen von Büchern, die extrem unreflektiert sind und auch teilweise toxische Verhaltensweisen anpreisen. Die Texte sind wiederholend, einen echten Lerneffekt kann ich nicht erkennen. Auch typische male gaze Inhalte, die weder sozialen Hintergrund, Privilegien und systematische Benachteiligungen in Betracht ziehen. Ich habe mir mehr erhofft und bin tatsächlich extrem enttäuscht von der App

Boeken bieden meer context en zorgen er voor dat je het beter onthoud, maar Headway biedt een snel alternatief

I do have a active subscription. And this stupid app keeps sending me % gifts and asking me to purchase.. and each time I need to press restore purchase … and it takes long… also the headway app does not have many books. Many of the books I’m interested in are not there

Subscription does not give full access, there is a lot of upsale banners, they don’t want to give you good content, they want you to pay even more, than you have paid for subscription.

Just want the content - make the ‘wow, you’ve listened to 3 minutes..’ ‘well done you hit a streak’ type of notifications optional.

I tapped the “Cancel Subscription” button in the app weeks ago and was sure I had unsubscribed. But today, I was charged over €30, for an app I deleted and didn’t use.
Only after digging deeper I realized that unless you also fill out a feedback form (which is not clearly required), your cancellation doesn’t go through. This is deliberately confusing and manipulative, a textbook example of dark UX.
When I contacted support, they said their policy doesn’t include refunds.
Excuse me, how is it even acceptable to charge people through a misleading flow and then hide behind a no-refund policy?
This should not be legal. Disgusted. Not recommended to anyone.

Realmente voy por el segundo año usando esta App, me ayuda a decidir si quiero leer el libro completo. Además cada resumen es tan preciso que va ayudándome a crece profesional y personalmente.

While I acknowledge your terms and conditions, I would like to formally request a refund for the €14.59 charge for the Headway Visualized Bestsellers subscription, which was made in error on July 15, 2025.
Please note that this purchase was made less than 24 hours ago, and was not an intentional selection on my part. The user interface was unclear and made it easy to inadvertently add this additional subscription while I was only intending to purchase the basic Headway App plan.
As an EU-based consumer, I am exercising my right of withdrawal under the European Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU), which provides a 14-day cooling-off period for digital purchases made online, unless the consumer has been clearly informed and has explicitly consented to waive this right. In this case, I do not recall being offered a clear and unambiguous opt-in or waiver for this additional subscription.
Since the service was not knowingly or intentionally used, and the purchase was made less than a day ago, I kindly ask that you process a full refund of the €14.59 charge.

This App is just what I needed to ignite and maintain my natural disposition towards learning and improving my critical thinking. One summary is like a little push that triggers my curiOSity. I can decide then whether I wish to read the whole book, follow the practical tips the app suggests or just file it in my archive as done. Even though there are a few titles that I could not find in the App (yet…) I recommend it.

You cannot cancel it do not buy it. I logged several times however cancellation button does not work
