GWENT: The Witcher Card Game

Gwent in The Witcher 3 was fun; this feels like its grown-up, competitive sibling. It’s technical, demanding, and building a good deck takes time, which means you’ll lose. A lot. The UI works, but the design is cluttered, incoherent, and downright ugly at times, like it wants to burn your retinas. Still, when the cards hit the table, it’s awesome to play.

Positive reviews make you think this app’s going to be great. What a waste of breath. I wish whoever made this atrocity to move to Poland and learn what live actually looks like. Pathetic nepo-babies could not even be called developers.

The game is wonderful with a gorgeous artstyle and hilarious writing, and it SEEMS designed to avoid obviously toxic and OP “tactics” but sadly, it’s full of it. Once you reach rank 25 or so, every other game you will have to deal with some obviously broken garbage that is zero fun to play against and cannot be countered. Worth giving a try but unless you want to be part of the problem, at some point it just stops being fun a lot of the time.

Lovely card game with good rewards. Not pay2win. Hope it stays good after this year.

I really like the game, but the screen often freezes and then i have to force quit it. Especially at the end of a feisty match very frustrating

I love everything about this game so nothing to say about game itself but the display settings... I'd like a 60fps option and that's it!

The game is nice but the servers are poor.. It keeps disconnecting and when u want to log back in you lost the game.. somtimes when ur losing ur opponents have the same issues.. it’s just wierd.. and needs to be fixed.. Its fixed I swapped my 1 star to 5 :)

When you have a good deck, the game will only select Nilfgaard opponents. Nilfgaard has no strategy, it’s purely based on luck.

There is nothing wrong with the game itself, just won’t let me craft any card. A rather important mechanic in a card game I’d say.
When clicking the hammer symbol on a card it pops me back to the card overview (I have enough crafting materials of both).
Extremely frustrating tbh

‘Game version no longer supported’, but no new version in the app store? Da faq?

When 90% of the players use the same faction (Nilfgaard), it is a clear sign that the game is structurally flawed.

Gwent is awesome, rewarding, has cool developers and doesn’t require payment to win or have fun.

Fantastic game. I absolutely love the concept, always loved Fantasy but never played a game regarding the subject. The wide variety of themes is just genius. The artwork on the cards is beautiful, all those bright colors are just mesmerizing. The Premium cards with moving animation are just amazing, absolute eye candy.
The gameplay itself is nothing short of amazing either. From the overall visual quality, to the epic sound effects played throughout a battle, it's just beyond good which makes every battle really enjoyable. This game really is a must for anyone who loves Fantasy themes and Strategy games.
Although I still lose 9/10 battles, they're all every exciting because of the small difference in points each time. The key is to keep playing, rewards are gained fast. I only just started and am surprised and very pleased at my progress. Already have plenty of in-game currensy which gives acces to- and the ability to purchase high quality cards. I will definitely keep playing and would consider spending money in the future to support the game, seeming as the price/reward ratio seems very decent.

As a beginner you aren't even given a decent chance at winning. Even the AI in the TRAINING hits you with cards that are 2x as good. Bad start to a good game. I will give it a few more weeks but if the win/lose ratio stays 4/5 then I'm definitely stopping. Such a shame

I’ve played both Gwent and Legends of Runeterra (LoR).
Gwent is great, but LoR is so much more fun with Burst, Fast and Slow Spell interaction and Champion cards that can be levelled up.

Had het spel gedownload na the witcher gespeeld te hebben.
Maar dit spel is geweldig, kan geen slechte dingen zeggen over dit spel.

Project Red really delivers (again) with this game. Great geaphics, great gameplay, many events to keep you entertained and interested and whilst spending rl monies is available, the game doesn’t “make you” spend nor is it necessary to (pay to) win. Absolutely love it, can’t wait to play 7.0!
