Nest still hasn’t been opened up for use with home assistant. Still requires €5 yearly fee even though i don’t want to use any cloud infrastructure, so I see no justification. This feature was available for free (when openHAB was still king) at time of purchase, but was changed afterward, so constitutes theft.

I asked this several times, but I received no feedback. The older round volume controls were much more convenient than the current slider. It’s very difficult to make small volume adjustments with this. Can you please go back to the round volume controls? Furthermore there is a bug in the volume setting when using a speaker group.

I don’t understand, out of the blue it’s not possible to cast Disney + anymore. Is this because of a new update?

I’ve been using my google home setup since 2019, but recently my google nest mini started blasting its volume to 100% without any commands. When asked what it just did, it says “i updated my date, (…) like you requested”. It often coincides with turning on the tv which has a Chromecast with Google tv inserted. This is unacceptable, especially since we have a sleeping baby in the house who immediately wakes up screaming when the soothing ocean waves are blasted at full volume.

When I want to add a device it is not possible to enter the matter code manually. Only scanning the QR is possible, but I want to use copy pasted matter codes from the IKEA app. Please help

The service itself? Perfectly fine. It works just as you’d expect. But the real highlight has to be the popup window asking for feedback. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy a cheerful little box jumping onto the screen right at the moment you’re actually focused on something, asking if you have “just a minute” to write a review? Incredible. Truly a gift.
The timing of these popups is almost touching. It’s as if they’re specially trained to appear at the exact micro‑second when you’re in the middle of something important. They yank your attention away so efficiently that you almost start to question why we even bother trying to concentrate. Clearly, multitasking wasn’t chaotic enough already.
Of course, it’s understandable that companies want to know what their users think. That part makes sense. But constantly interrupting your workflow feels a bit like someone quietly tapping your chair every few minutes just to ask if everything is still okay. It doesn’t exactly sharpen your focus.
A more subtle, less in-your-face way of collecting feedback—perhaps one that doesn’t explode into the center of your screen—would do wonders for the overall experience. Until then, it remains a small daily challenge: try using what you came here to use while your screen politely but persistently reminds you how valuable your opinion is.

Kunnen jullie alsjeblieft teruggaan naar de ‘oude’ ronde volume controls voor smart speakers?! De oplossing die er nu is, is echt priegelwerk. Niet elke vernieuwing is blijkbaar een verbetering.

Na de laatste update worden de scenes in Motionblinds en tahoma niet meer herkend in google home. Kan dus mijn gordijnen en zonnescherm niet meer bedienen door een spraak opdracht

Stay away from their cameras and doorbells. Not once have I been able to open the live feed of my doorbell on time. Reviewing recordings also extremely slow and buggy. Will replace everything soon with a proper system

Sinds een paar dagen is de app onbruikbaar geworden voor mij. Ik kan geen enkel apparaat meer goed bedienen en zolang ik de app heb veroorzaakt dit ook problemen voor mijn man met zijn app. Als ik de app verwijder werkt alles wel weer voor hem. Ik heb Apple en hij heeft Android.

Ik mis de oude google nest app. Sinds ik naar google home moet overstappen met mijn video deurbel, zie ik steeds dat de app op de achtergrond mijn batterij leeg trekt. De app staat bovenaan als meest verbruikte batterij…
