Fotor - Photo Editor & Design

After a confusing signup process, €75 was charged to my account, even though I had only activated a free trial via Apple and canceled it before renewal.
The company repeatedly claims subscriptions can exist on multiple platforms (Apple, Google, website), but this is often used to block refunds. They start with no refund, then gradually offer more: €45 → €50 → eventually €60, even though this practice violates European consumer law.
It took me 15 emails, threatening a fraud alert, and disputing the charge with my bank before I finally received €60 back.
Tip: persist, document everything, escalate with fraud alerts and bank disputes, and do not accept a partial refund.

I paid €27, I could make one (!) picture and the app starts whining about upgrading and the credits are up (upgrade now). So worthless, how do I get my money back?

Fotor is a very scammy service. They charge exorbitant subscriptions and lie about their capabilities. Good for super basic photo editing, their AI & photo generation would get negative stars if it were possible. Avoid at all costs

First of all: this is a good user friendly app. If you are not technically or digitally talented you can create amazing images and alter them in a thousand ways. There is one disadvantage to Fotor : it knows only one female face. When I scroll through the community shares I constantly see the same face. Or when I generate an image of a woman, she has always the same face. But for the rest it is a wonderful very user friendly app.

Photo editing and collage options are good enough, but the AI headshot feature is beyond awful: looks absolutely nothing like me.

The ai headshots are paid (10 eur for 20 pics) and came out awful. Most of them barely look like me, and they all use the same stock photos with a face swap

When I give it a picture of myself to generate, let's say a GTA effect, when it's done, it's nothing like my own photo it's like randomly creating a photo of sb it's a terrible app

This app has been fun to play with so far. Creating in different languages makes it possible to pick up my French and create my Digital Art business. Also the challenges are well set up. I am curious where my data is stored when it’s global. Could you verify that @fotor?

Goede bewerking site, wel jammer dat je nu tegenwoordig moet betalen voor andere opties, maar je kan gelukkig wel effecten etc nog doen!

Don’t know what happened lately, but the number of layers with all sorts of apps makes me run away quickly. Unusable.

Purchased Pro, thinking I could try AI foto generator but no, you then still have to pay. Made a purchased twice - god knows why because the first time was already ridiculous - second time (a chose professional style) I got 5 complete different styles with generated photos of completely different people as well. Pooor poor quality.
The reason why I give two stars is because the app does have some cool features editing photos.

Do not waste money on the AI avatar generator - it gives bad quality output, quite disappointing compared to other tools.

Had to pay for subscription pro and on top of that pay again for AI features to get some extremely bad results that are not even close to the pictures uploaded! Not worth it!

It says you can use the avatar generator gor free but guess what i see, the cancerous subscription instead of avatar results. Im gonna warn everyone not to download this joke of an app, losers

Why cant you change someone’s skin color on this app, it says something completely different on their site,

I downloaded this app to enlarge the dimensions using AI on an existing photo, which should be possible according to Fotor’s website. The AI enlargement function only allows you to up the resolution however, and not actually enlarge the photo. As in extending it outside it’s current boundries.
