Forest: Focus for Productivity

I have loved this app since 2017 and have used it almost every day. However, the new UI is too distracting and has a lot of click-through screens as well as distracting colours.
Would love to use this again, but not with this UI. I might be switching to another focus app because of this. I hope they will revert it.

It used to be useful, fun and clean. Not it’s slow, buggy & has so many annoying options that are distracting that it completely beats the purpose. I just deleted it after years of use.

I really like the new update! I like the animations and the overall feel. And it’s cool we can buy more plants now. The only thing, as other users already mentioned, the extra steps when completing growing a tree are really unnecessary and a bit annoying.

I’ve been using the app for a long time, and the concept is amazing. I bought the original one before it became subscription based. However, with every new update, I am more and more tempted to delete the app. With every update the design and usability goes downhill: getting the same unskippable “gift” notifications over and over when starting the app, having to log in again and again and again, the design going down the drain. Endless pushing to “get Plus”, pay more while getting less and less.
I used to LOVE this app and not do without, and now every time I open it I end up frustrated. Wish I could have the old app back.

Annoying update. Used to be a lot easier to use. Now, after completing a tree: different steps, slow animations, rewards that manually need to be claimed. Used to be perfect as a productivity app. Less is more.

I love this app. Have been using it for years. But since the last update I've lost the timer feature? I want to still be able to plant my tree for e.g. 45 minutes. Now it only plants until I stop it myself or hit the 3 hours...

I have the app version 5.23.0 on iOS 26.6 and it got really poor UX, when a tree is complete it gets stuck and not able to leave the screen to start a new tree or check stats, have to close the app; also the animation slows down the whole process of completing one focus tree and start something new.

In default mode, it blocks even Spotify so you can’t listen to music anymore. My own allow list however has never worked; I can still open social media and other apps despite having them blocked in Forest. There’s a new error since the update too, where I open the app once my tree has grown and it lags until I close and reopen the app. Only then can I get the tree and coins and plant a new one.

Erg leuk concept en motiveert mij erg om toch te blijven leren / focussen. Zeker je geld waard!

I have used this app for years, I payed for it and build every tree there is. I did not go to the pro plan. The last 3 days I received an error on the focus challenge. Today there was an update: poof everything gone. And I can’t reach anyone.

There is a current bug: I will have planted a plant, but it does not appear on my ‘focus challenge’ section. So I can basically nof do anything. Could you look at that?

Ik ben nu als ik ga leren helemaal locked in, omdat ik me zo gemakkelijk kan verzetten van de verleidingen door deze app

It’s a good app if you want to have an overview of your study progress with cute little trees. It works pretty well, but pls fix the stopwatch, cus the stopwatch sometimes just randomly stops at a given time in your focus, without you doing anything. Pls fix this!

Awesome app to increase focus and productivity. Don’t know how it just works. Best tool I know to overcome phone addiction and find control back of your life.

Was hier altijd blij mee, maar app crasht continu. Taal springt telkens op Arabisch en niets werkt goed. Bovendien heb ik ooit 1 bedrag betaalt voor deze app en nu moet ik alsnog upgraden om alles te gebruiken. Geef legacy users dan gewoon alle nieuwe features erbij. Ik ga een andere app zoeken.

Good app to keep me from my phone! Love the aesthetic and how you can save for more trees. One suggestion, for Time Guard, one should be able to schedule multiple stops. I can now only schedule from 22:00 to 23:59, but I'd like to go from 22:00 to 02;00, so I can prohibit myself from going on my ohone even after midnight
