C-MAP: Boating

After repeated problems with the paid B&G app, which is powered by C-MAP, I decided to start a trial subscription with the C-MAP app to see whether that would be more reliable.
Unfortunately, I am experiencing the same problems there as well. The app is unreliable, crashes or fails to start properly, and is becoming extremely frustrating to use. For a navigation app, reliability is essential.
I currently have a paid B&G subscription and a C-MAP trial subscription, so I am effectively testing both services side by side — and both show the same reliability issues.
Are these problems known to C-MAP? If so, I would like a refund for my B&G subscription. At the moment, the service simply does not deliver what it promises.

How is it possible that you can only select combi of depth in feet and distances in seamiles or depth in meters and then distances in km? For ages depth is expressed in meters and distances in seamiles in international navigation. Why not pissible to make seperate selections for each unit!

Wat een vreselijk slecht programma. Loopt vast tijdens het laden van de kaarten. Als je dan de app verwijderd en alles opnieuw installeert mag je er weer 2 weken van genieten en kan daarna alles weer opnieuw installeren om überhaupt iets aan kaart te kunnen zien. Waardeloos! Loopt dus continue vast.

Helaas de laatste versie crasht steeds. ook opnieuw opstarten van mijn iPhone bood geen soelaas. Overgestapt op een andere app

Plse refund the subcription payment because I stopped my free trial period which is apparently not free! Making routes is not working as promised. You need to make several waypoints in stead of only the begin and end- point! The route will go over land or shallow water.

I those the app for 14 days free trial, but instead of 14 days free I had to pay the full amount. The app is almost perfect, but we like to have it on an other account. Please refund me so I can buy it on the other account.

Server outage for more than a week and NO communication or update, other than a message that there is a server outage. With no timeplan, this is taking much to long!

Ik vaar in Frankrijk en de app werkt niet meer! Ik kan niet inloggen en krijg een melding dat het waarschijnlijk de 25 is opgelost! En nu? Betaal ik hiervoor?

App does not start on my 3-year old iPhone SE. kind of essential that it does that.

This is the worst app that I have every paid for and I want to stop my subscription but I can’t find a way of stopping if from robbing me or another 30euro for another year of a terrible app that doesn’t work

Altijd gebruikt nu moet je ineens overal voor betalen de applicatie is zo onbruikbaar niet installeren dus zoek veder.

Een hele handige app als aanvulling op mijn elektronische kaarten. Vooral de Routeplanning gebruik ik vaak ter voorbereiding van mijn tochten.

I haven’t used this app on board yet, but I can see it has a lot of potential. First impression after having played around a bit: I like the new bathymetry and coloring options and prefer the appearance of the map over Navionics now. AIS layer works great and split screen is what I’ve always missed underway in my plotter. The routing with weather forecast along the way and planning seem great, although the detailed weather pages are rather limited for sailing. I would also like an option to add stop overs to the route in auto routing. But overall a great app and great value for money.

Went on a private boat trip in greece, downloaded 5 different marine gps apps.
The only one that could deliver me my routing and take me to places and back was this one.

Top app. Eenvoudig in gebruik. Prima als backup voor de plotter van een gehuurd jacht.

I could wish for some better graphics and/or settings for this but other that that C-map is functioning great.
On Windows you can also display AIS info received through (real) AIS (not network based, so it works anywhere).
