Busuu: Language Learning

I’ve tried several language-learning apps, and this one stands out. One of the biggest advantages is that it lets me learn Dutch to German directly, something Duolingo doesn’t offer. I also really appreciate the grammar explanations and tips, which help me understand why the language works the way it does instead of just memorizing phrases.
Compared to some other apps, the grammar support is much more useful and makes learning feel more structured and effective. The lessons are engaging, and I feel like I’m making real progress. If you’re looking for an app that offers more language combinations and better grammar guidance, I highly recommend it.

This app has really helped me to learn Spanish and Italian, I think it works much better than apps like Duolingo that don’t focus as much on teaching words in context! The only thing I wished they’d improve is the way in which vocabulary can be learned. They don’t have a functioning spaced repetition option like in other apps.

This is the best app i came across so far. The paid version is not cheap but it’s worth it

It covers grammatical explanations in English.
There is a lot of support all the way through- even as it gets more difficult.
You can practice developing your vocabulary as a separate task and the same for practicing grammar. Some of these options have more practice tasks with the paid version
You can repeat an exercise from the beginning or chose to revise it. I find both these options helpful when I haven’t quite grasped the topic we are working on.
I have found with the various ways I can choose to practice it has made it easier to do a little or a lot every day.
I am learning Dutch.

I have used other languages apps and most are just for practice but Busuu is really for learning because it has grammar, makes you practice with useful phrases

The premium versión is really worthy. You can go on your own pace but still a fun and fast way to learn any language

It’s a shame that there is no option for Portuguese from Portugal. There are significant differences between the Portuguese from PT and the Portuguese from Brasil. I would suggest also this option. As for the rest, still learning and it seems a good app.

Best leuk maar erg formeel en een aantal irritante dingen zoals dat je niet eerst je antwoord kan beoordelen voordat je het geeft.
En als je het fout hebt dan kan je vaak niet meer zien wat je antwoord was

Would be nice if the display language could be Dutch. Then I would be able to learn better.

The app is amazing I really recommend it I chose Japanese for anime HEHE and uhm yeah I love this app

Really satisfied with the app. Currently using it to learn Dutch and very happy with my progress. The app is well designed and the chapters well organised. You are able to review vocabulary and grammar points. I keep recommending it to friends and family if they want to learn a language.

Gewordt echt super goed geholpen met alles en het blijft interessant, er wordt gelet op wat makkelijkere dingen en niet gelijk om alles perfect te kunnen, dan wordt er ook getest of je iets begrijpt en kan uitspreken en wordt dat vervolgens gecheckt door een persoon die die taal die je leert spreekt.

You have to pay, I don’t like that you have to ask someone to correct your test

Great app from beginning to end. Helps a lot with grammar explanations and vocabulary. The social part can be improved. Where you can search friends and track eachothers progress.
Also adding friends and give them a free trial doesn’t work.

You should really have some tolerance for typos in keyboard-input tasks. Look how Duolingo does it, it works great there.
Still valid, still relevant.

I have been using Busuu to learn Dutch for 12 months. I really feel myself learning it. It is very exciting to learn with it. Topics are very well selected. It has many speakers or characters. Enjoyed every minute I spent.
Also review section, very helpful to remember the words and grammer you have learnt before
