BlaBlaCar: carpoolen en bus

Hello! I want to buy tickets pn
Blablacar bus from my telephone. Originally I wanted to do it via website, but the website force me to install application. I installed, and I have chosen the region closest to the place I live (I live in NL, and chosen Dutch part of belgium). And let’s not forget that I am an expat, who does not speak Dutch. So all application is in Belgium dutch now, the names of the cities are in Belgium Dutch (Lille, France is Rijsel in Belgium Dutch). I tried to change language via iPhone settings, I tried to do it via app. But it is impossible. Maybe I’m bad in looking for this button, but I even can’t choose proper destination. What is the point to maintain application for people and force people to use it, if people actually can’t use it?

As a driver this app is useless, the fees are way too low, don’t even come close to covering part of the gas. The Pickup points are too far out from the highway. Communication in the app is annoying and exchanging phone numbers is not allowed. So as a driver for a ridiculous low fee you have to chat to someone for an hour, drive 30 min. extra to a pickup point and wait for the passenger. Seems like a taxi without being paid properly.

Is just a feasible app especially when you wanna arrive somewhere faster than other public transport

Ik heb de BlaBlaCar als zeer onbetrouwbaar ervaren als het gaat over Spaanse ritten. Mijn reis van Málaga naar Cádiz is pas bij de 5e rijder tot uitvier gebracht. De andere 4 annuleerden de rit zonder enige uitleg. Dan staat er bij hun profiel: annuleert nooit. Dat klopt dan niet. Je kunt ook niet meer reageren na annulering. Dus ik was best zenuwachtig of deze wel door zou gaan. Gelukkig had ik Adrian: een hele betrouwbare! Mijn tip is: niet te ver van te voren al een rit claimen en meld je bij een rijder aan die al wat bijrijders heeft. Die zal minder snel annuleren. Geen garantie. Grt Anita

The app uses region instead of language to set the language. A stupid decision turned into a blocker by not allowing the user to change language on demand. Talk about fallacies developers believe about regions…

Not allowing language change should be illegal. Also, it doesn’t matter what language is your phone set up in, despite what it says in the help section. It is only the region.

And another brand that is too scared to trust an alternative logo design but instead joins all other brands in the slop with a blue in blue logo just because color psychologists told them it represents trust and calm….

The site and the app doesnt show any results on mobile version of website, neither the app. It is not the only website like that which only works on computer….. can’t imagine what can go wrong really
