Used to be good, horrible now
MeerUsed to be a good app, but lately buggy as hell, switching to alternative. Had enough
2door Jer*******12/08/2026Reliable and complete
MeerI have made the choice to switch to 1Password many years ago. Works like a charm and super safe.
5door Jrv*******02/08/2026Great!
MeerGreat app, nice integration.
However for some reason the “scan qr-code” function doesn’t do anything anymore.5door Bra******01/08/2026Sucks overseas
MeerDon’t count on 1Password working reliably when you travel overseas. Sometimes it’s fine, other times it simply does not respond at all.
1door Alp*******28/07/2026Unacceptable and disgusting
MeerAfter like tvelve attempts to pay I finally did it. I do not know what helped. I changed the region of my account to the Netherlands. Maybe this was the issue. The thing is that you (customer support) did not tell me this. I figured it out myself. And this is BAD. I do not know guys why you do not have a regular Stripe payment flow instead you just have billing methods page that does not help to identify and solve the issue. I'm frustrated and completely disappointed by the user experience of the payment system you built and customer service experience I got here. Take into account it took me three days to finally pay for a product I love.
Unacceptable and disgusting.1door Anoniem27/07/2026Easy
MeerIt’s very easy to use and I hope that it is safe but so far it is safe. It’s also very easy to make new accounts and passwords. Or to copy old ones and make them safer
5door Hon******21/07/2026Commercialized business
Meer1Password used to be a cool app by a single developer. They’ve grown a lot and now seem to be a super commercial business: they raised their prices with about 30% in a single year, I think that’s outrageous, even for a fine working app.
1door Edw**29/05/2026Search field gone in iPad
MeerThe iPad app is terrible where is the search bar. You want this always show it always.

2door Fer*******06/05/2026AI slop causing price raise?
MeerI mean, I'm okay to give you a bit more money, but the cause is important. Hope it would be possible to turn all the slop off.
1door Rus******19/03/2026Essential app
MeerCrazy how this app is so essential and not something apple natively has in its OS. Thank you for keeping it so usable
5door Blr**14/03/2026Does not work well on Ubuntu 24.04
Meer1password seemed a promising password manager but after a while it keeps crashing when i boot up Ubuntu. It even crash without opening the app. At the request of support I send the logs and the 1password log. No response, no solution. Deleted the app and moved to Proton Pass and Bitwarden. These apps work flawlessly. I did not received a (partial) refund. If you use Ubuntu stay away from this app. It’s not worth the money and support is not good. Updated the review. Had contact with support and they promised a solution.
4door Bra*******10/03/2026Great app!
MeerI use it for many years now and still love it! It’s safe, tons of options, looks and works great!
5door Dig*******25/02/2026Battery drain
MeerIt consumes a lot of battery in the background even though the background sync is disabled system wide and I don’t use 1P’s Safari extension. Very disappointing to see this issue has been brought up to 1P’s attention on other mediums (eg Reddit) for weeks. I’ve uninstalled it.
1door Fkf****27/10/2025Great!
MeerThe app is great, been using it for years and I am very satisfied with it. A must have!
5door Eur****24/09/2025Just keeps signing me out every damn time
MeerI've logged in like 8 times today already. App is offline, credentials are incorrect, blah blah blah.
2door Nek*****10/07/2025Too many bugs and incomplete
Meer- When you upload an image as login icon and save it, sometimes it reverts to the default and you have to upload it multiple times.
- Cannot set passwords on Collections or individual Vaults, like a pincode to access.
- Can't create additional "Archive" sections. There's one by default named Archive where you can put passwords you don't use often anymore to remove clutter from your main inbox. What if you want to make more in that style for other things? You can't.
- Can't rename uploaded files.
- Hard to reorder items, it's not very smooth sometimes when dragging up all the way.
- Automatically deletes deleted logins after 30 days. What if I don't want this or want a different period like 1 year? I can't. I accidentally without me knowing, applied the OTP password the wrong login. Preventing me from logging into that account. Couldn't find the history after a long time.
- Keep having to login again and again on 1Password for iOS even though I applied the setting to not ask for a password every single time.
- It doesn't open the search bar by default. It is such a hassle. People will always search quickly for a password instead of scrolling through the list.
- The search bar is not working properly. Even when I fully type out my microsoft email account, it still does not prioritze it to the top over something else.
- There is no setting to quickly delete tags in bulk. Or all at once.
- Passkeys from 1Password don't work for Google Login. It's say, "something went wrong".
- Sometimes on a new installation, my icons dont load. And it will try to pull them from the server despite my setting telling NOT to do that.
- No way to sync settings across devices. For every device I have to set my settings again and again.
- The developers are lazy. I asked them for help in the past by mail. And they do try to "help" and "relay" information but it's been a year and it's still a buggy mess without improvement.2door Ous****19/04/2025Oke with several issues
MeerSo I looked at all major password managers for myself and my family including young kids. All have issues but I found that 1password and Bitwarden have the least problems.
For 1password the issues are: it's expensive, has no Emergency contacts or Heirship facilities, only 5 family members (why 5 family members when Apple, Microsoft and Google all use 6 family members in a family, is 1password smarter then the market leaders?) and the Start here menu item is eating precious real estate of my screen. After finishing all the steps it's still there. Anoying! Why not make it a removable item in the edit home menu list?
The rest is working like FaceID, Windows Hello, passkeys sync and sharing, Chromebook, breach control, 2FA and user friendly.
After long and tedious testing our family has chosen Bitwarden Family due to Emergency contacts and the lower cost for a family of 6.3door D Q*13/03/2025
