xSearch for Safari

Sooo happy to find that I can use StartPage as default search engine, not just in Safari but also when Safari is launched from Spotlight.
Well worth the money!

Does the latest update have a bug? Suddenly the Blacklist mode isn’t working anymore…

This works, I can finally use Brave search now on my iPhone and mac! You don't even have to use the shortcuts if you activate the 'override' option.

This is just perfect now. It took me a while to understand how the syncing is activated but it works and it’s great.
- open xSearch
- go to settings under […] button top left
- Activate Sync My Engines under iCloud Sync
- close Settings
- Go to iCloud tab
- Tap a backup profile and make sure it contains the engines you want to sync
- If so, tap the green checkmark top right to activate this profile for syncing
- Activate iCloud Sync on other devices

I love this app! Its very clean, minimalistic and works like a charm. Developer responds quickly to questions too which is always great.
One feature I'm missing in macOS is the ability to override the default search engine like you can do in iOS. Thats why only four stars, if the feature gets added I will update to 5 stars.

I used to use Safari Omnikey on Mac but it was outlawed when Safari changed how extensions integrate.
I really hope for a Mac version of this as well so all my Safari’s work the same.
Configuring is easy, especially with the full URL method. It’s not clear to me why there are two ways to add searches but they both work so it doesn’t matter.
I love that I can sync across devices.
I save one star for a Mac version.
