TZ iBoat – Marine Navigation

Overall the best app for marine navigation out there. Totally worth every penny and thus the five stars.
Support is unparalleled, honestly, never had such a good experience with an app.
With weather routing including currents and tides and regatta timer/start line calculations it would be a true six stars. And could you add a ‘sail steer’-like feature? Then this would get ten stars from me.

This must be disappointing! So was I when I noticed the chart were shifted!
Get this right! Right now! Get oof you chair and report this complaint to your superior. Stop obeying government beauro(c)rats to tamper with essential charts! I’m mad about your priorities NOT being sailors in these waters! Stop being irresponsible listening to petty naval “guidelines”! Grow a spine! Do this right for once.

Each tile could be downloaded smoothly, but the message “Finishing download” never finished. Could not use any chart/tile.

Accurate maps, highly configurable display, with many useful layers and preferences. The synced info & navigation (between all devices on board, and to the cloud) and built-in connection to my boat’s instruments were killer features already. But the new maps experience really convinced me that nowadays this is the best app for sailors, by far.
I love seeing the continuous hard work that’s going into this app. And their customer support is also very helpful and friendly (much unlike the ‘competition’).

Het ziet er gelikt uit. Heb de rasterkaart eerst aangeschaft. Voor de Waddenzee niet aan te raden. Netjes mijn geld terug gekregen. En advies om de vectorkaart aan te schaffen opgevolgd. Iets meer info maar er zijn betere digitale kaarten voor het Wad. Krijg nu mijn geld niet meer terug, jammer.

I tried to sign in with apple and it seemed to word but then it froze. I started it back up again and i could do nothing!

We gebruiken TZ nu ruim 2 jaar en zijn erg tevreden over de app. Het gebruik is intuïtief. Mooi is de functie om je route te bewaren. Goede integratie met het weer en de AIS gegevens via WiFi.
Wat het ook interessant maakt is dat met 1 account je meerder devices de kaarten en informatie kan delen en gebruiken.
Tot nu toe alle kaarten die nodig waren zijn beschikbaar

Best iPad plotter for your boat. I use it with my Wi-Fi network to integrate AIS targets and gps data. Consistently works where other apps drop the gps or AIS data at times. Works well on lower end iPad mini as on higher end iPad Pro. Syncing routes between multiple iPads works well, as does import of routes from other tools. For inland water the maps could be improved. I would like to see bridge names and vhf channels on the maps. Quick route planning with a touch interface works very well. Better than others that I tried. I also like the new weather data integration. I actually bought an extra iPad to permanently fix on my steering console with this app.

After using several apps this one is the one you want!
Lots of features like NMEA data, AIS, Wind and satellite photos as overlay are invaluable when things need your attention

As an iSailor user I switched to TZ iBoat. Whith the recent updates it can be used on your iPhone too! Great extention with new features in this last release. Very intuitive use. I’m a happy sailor!
Update after 1.5 yrs of usage: with the updates in the app it is getting even better. Now even with track history to analyze how things were going. Still my nr1 navigation app.
